ok so sence my engine goes in a closed compartment with sun deck that goes over engine i need to use all marine stuff?

do you have to use marine gaskets like head gaskets and stuff like that? and what about distributer and carbarater and air filter? do they have to be sertain kind or can u use what you want?

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / paint cracks on my 79 fantasy

is there anyway to fix the paint cracks without sanding down and starting over with new gel coat or anything i can use like a rubbing compound or anything ok well thanks let me know i have picture of paint.

so im in prosses of getting the boat i got more pictures of it let me know what yall think what would yall recoment for the paint on the top its got the cracking going on the intireior and floor are all new and its a jacuzzi 12yj the impeller looked to look ok to me not bent or anthing just had few nicks on the end or the blades but the rudder fin deal is missing on the bottom of nozzle. so were would be a good place to get parts seals and what not to go through the pump and replace everything? and as far as the 455 olds is it possible to put a 460 or a 454 in there instead or do i have to change engine mounts or anything like that? i cant figure out how to get pictures on here.

ok monday im going to look at this boat http://wenatchee.craigslist.org/boa/1800554418.html and i have decided im more than likely going to get it so i would like to know if there is any thing to look for as far as in the pump cause the pump is out of it along with the engine so is there anyway to tell anything about the pump by just looking at it ? and what to look for in the rest of the engine parts? also what is a good book that would cover all the details on how to put back together? im well mechanicly enclined. just no knowlage of the jets. ok thank you. o and can u just put any carbs and parts you want on engine or do you have to meet some marine standards? k thanks again guys ya'll are alot of help!!!

Jet Pumps / can you start jet bout out of water?

still really knew to jet boats i know you can start boat with outdrive if you put the lil ears on it on garden hose so it gets it water that way. but not sure about jet boat if has to be in water or if there is way around it. ok thank you i know its prolly a really dumb question but im totaly new sorry thanks again all u guys on hear have been a big help already with my questions!

whats a jetavator? and what are all the parts to the pump and what are there perpas. like place diverter and whatever els names and parts of stuff there is thank you alot im a total newby and can use any help thank u

well alright thank you now i have heard people saying the 455 olds and jacuzzi set up are junk? and also about different hull designs and sizes for river or lake aplications now what would one say this is? or would be best for?

Jet Pumps / can u switch out a jacuzzi pump with a berkley?

im new to tho jet boat world and i was looking at getting a 1976 fantasy 21 foot with a 455 olds and a jacuzzi for 1500.00 but i heard that the jacuzzi pumps suck and along with the 455 olds if anyone could help me out that would be great thank you.
