Obnoxious
I dont have a roller cam core. I am looking to buy new, as for the boost the motor is making I dont know  :banghead:
The guy that was helping me who i told to drill the intake so i could run a boost gauge did not    Witch led to alot of swearing. So I ran it all last year not knowing on how much boost it was making.  I just did not want to rip the intake back off I know LAZY.
The very first thing that I am going to do is drill and tap the intake this year. I do understand that I may have to have the impeller cut but i am going to wait untill I get the new cylinder heads on and a new cam to see how she runs first. I just bought the cylinder heads last fall and there not on the motor yet. I have been running a set of open chamber oval port till now and I do know that they are a big part of my problem but so has been cash. LOL Every year I have been buying parts and slowy pieces by piece its coming together.

I deal with a local cam grinder who does all of my camshafts.  I can supply with either a new cam  I have used some cams that are around 300 advertised duration,, just under .700" lift that are still reliable and easy on valve train,  but making good power.

Pease tell me more

I have a TX19 Youngblood with blown BBC and want to upgrade to a new roller cam for it.
What are you guy's running
My motor is a balanced 30 over 454, with a 8/71 spinning 17.5 over
Forged crank & pistons, splayed 4 bolt, O ringed block, 320 aluminum retangular port head, w/headers
The cam shaft I am using has been in every motor that has been in it and I can not remember was it is know but is nothing at all maybe a RV cam.  I do remember that it was only good to 5200 RPM and with a AA impeller the motor only turns 4900 to 5000 @ the best speed its ever gone was 82.6 MPH on GPS and I was and am looking for 100MPH but I am probably dreaming
Thanks Pete
