« on: February 05, 2009, 07:00:25 PM »Depends on what you want to do with your boat. If you're building a ski/lake boat, you probably wouldn't have any issues with your engine, ever. Did you follow Mondello's guidelines about oil restrictors and the like?
Ya im not looking to hotrod it just a mellow cruiser for lakes and the river. I have heard that oil restrictors are a good idea, but haven't heard Mondello's guidelines. Also a larger oil pan and H/V oil pump, ya?

Hey i'm new to the boat scene and had a question about a 455. I got a rebuilt, 0 mile engine that was built for a car. So I wanted to know what I need to do to it to make it last in my boat and if it is worth it to modify. My boat is already set up for an olds so... any info would be helpful.
