i took the water pump plate off today and i think i found the problem.  the timing chain cover has a hole at the top right side behind the water pump plate. where the oil stick goes through  the timing cover behind the plate had oil in the hole so i feel a little better about the engine and heads. im trying to put pics up but it keeps saying the file is to big but its not

i replaced the logs but i did buy them on ebay i guess it still could be the problem. i dont know much about how the logs work. i know the water goes through them to heat up before the water goes in the engine thats it. im going to pressure test the old ones to find out

i only backed it up in the water and cranked it for a couple of mins to see how it acted. where can you get the marine gaskets

ok i just bought the boat and found out that water is getting in the oil some how. ive already replaced the exhaust its the kind that go through the hull. the guy i bought it from said that could be it but no luck. ive already toar the heads off and about to put new head gaskets and intake gaskets. let me know if you think it could be something else thanks kenny
