Projects / 1975 Fantasy with an LSx

hello all here is the beginning of my LSx build.
Background: the boat is a 1975 Fantasy that has been in my family for over 20 years, has a 455 in it right now that my father rebuilt years ago with the origional quadrajet on it and heavy gold flake paint. The paint has gone way south resulting in the clear coat coming off in huge flakes and i never cared for
Plans: I will be using a spare LS1 i have running it on the loose side of factory specs with LS6 (243 heads flow more air than the regular ones) with a bunch of stuff to boot looking for around 475hp out of it which i have achieved NA very easily and still passed smog in the cars these motors come out of.
Heres the start crank set in the block all tolerances checked and happy as can be

Jet Pumps / Jacuzzi WJ information

hello guys so this winter i will be getting into my Jacuzzi WJ but i have come up dry on any actual technical data for it or any where to find it if anyone knows i would appreciate it example tourque specs clearences etc and impeller data would be nice too. Also is there any jet pump theory books anyone knows of? i have found it very hard to find info on them

wow... this should be fine then the motor wont be a problem its in the process of being rebuilt and ill be running it on the loose side of factory specs and they will also handle 7 grand all day long and im thinking this wont be turning anywhere near that.. any other input?

Hello all a newbie here i have a 76 Fantasy ill be completely overhauiling upon some research ive figured out it has a jacuzzi WJ pump on it (i didnt know anything about pumps) also has a 455 olds. ill be taking the olds out in favor of a spare LS1 i have my question is what is the power limits of the WJ? i was thinking of rebuilding it and running it

thanks for all the opinions guys. ill be running the LS1 out of my 2001 SS Camaro. a few years back i swapped the motor out and its been sitting around in the crate waiting for me to find just the right build for it. and i know all the details on deleting vats and all that jazz out of the computer and have a guy in bakersfield who stuffs LSX's into everything under the sun and im sure would love to tune the boat for me. as far as power goes im positive ill be fine especially since im running a stockish 455 and no offense to the big block comunity but the numbers most of these guys pull out of there 460's and 454's ive pulled out of stock bottom end LSXs with no problem at all so we will see how it goes.. i will definatly post pictures along the way

hello boys this is my first post on this sight. i have a 74 Fantasy with a 455 Olds in it right now. its getting tired and im wanting to run something both unique and that will stomp all over my friends running big blocks (no offense guys) ive built a few LSX based engines and they make monster power are very reliable and will cut weight im sure theres been quit a few stuffed into jet boats around but cant seem to find info on them. main place im lacking is in engine mounts and rear covers if i can find those i can fab the rest and would love to post pictures
