Boats For Sale / CLEAN '73 Glencoe Jetboat - 454 BBC
« on: August 30, 2012, 07:11:40 PM »
17' 4" Glencoe 1/4 Stringer deep v hull. freshened up 454 big block. mallory ignition, glenwood headers, edelbrock carb and intake plenum. new carpet, stereo with amp and 6x9's. jacuzzi pump. all work has been done this summer. float operated bilge. storage on both sides of engine. new battery. no holes, tears, or stains on the entire boat. it definitly sounds like a 454 on the trailer but when its in the water it has a nice deep tone. swim deck on the back makes it nice getting in and out
ill throw in all the life vests, anchor, inner tube, and all my extra doo dads i have for it. this is one of the smoothest riding jets ive been on due to the deep v hull. very nice all around use boat. this boat is nearly flawless and it has been meticously cared for by me and always garaged with a cover on it. trailer is nice and tires are nearly new with reg. paid for until '14. seats 5 so perfect family or cruiser boat. the only reason im getting rid of it is that i dont have a car now so im forced to sell this. i have cleaned  this baby up a lot since when i got it and am always getting compliments on it at the lake.  im willing to trade for a good daily driver or asking 3200 obo. the boat is at lake nacimiento and i will run it on the water just call or text 805 459 1270 if you have any questions or for pics!

Boat Showcase / 1973 Glencoe Jet with 454 Chevy Big Block
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:53:39 PM »
Just purchased my first boat a couple weeks ago. ive grew up around the lake so im not new to boats, but i am new to owning my own. im 19 years old and very interested in finding out more info and getting some help on this boat.

It is a 1973 Glencoe with a 454 and jacuzzi jet. all around a pretty solid boat with no problems. i took it out to lopez lake for a test run and the carb kept backfiring/popping at higher speeds. im mechanically inclined but at the same time im no motor builder. it sounded great besides the popping. think that a proper carb tuning would help it out?

I already love this boat though and very happy with the purchase. Nacimiento is where i will have it most of the time
Future plans as of now: new carpet, new gauges
