The Parker Strip / blue water 300 and the desert bar
« on: October 29, 2012, 09:42:22 AM »
So i spent the weeken out at rivershore resort, awesome trip. twice a year we rent out the whole place for our group of friends, we watched the race untill about 1 and all the girls were over it . so one of my buddies reccomended the desert bar. i have never even heard of it and ive spent all my life in parker and havasu before buying a place in blythe. at first i thought my buddy was taking me into the desert to kill me. but this place was awesome! 5 to 6 miles into the desert and then BAM awesome bar, cheap drinks and live music. it was a great time and i recomend everybody make the trip at least once.

The No Wake Zone / boat salvage yards?
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:47:36 PM »
so i got the bad news from my boat shop today that the transom on my family fish/ski boat is garbage. im not paying to have a new transom put in it, its just not worth it. but the engine, outdrive and trailer are in good running order. i dont really want to part it out, just want something for it. is there anything like a pick a part for boats near the o.c? thanks guys

The No Wake Zone / tow vehicle
« on: September 04, 2012, 01:41:33 PM »
hey guys need a few opinions here, the truck i have now is getting really tired and i wonder every day if it will fire up  its a 98 gmc sierra reg. cab short bed with 33 inch tires and a 5.0 engine (305) and a heavily modifeid trans. its 235000 miles on it and it shows when i tow my boat. the truck im considering is one of those chevy colorado deals. i like the way they look and love the idea of 4 doors and good gas mileage as my truck gets 10-12 now. the only thing im worried about is when i hook a 18 foot miller with a bbf to it, will it be ok? i know i wont be able to run the hills at 70 but ive come to peace with that. im worried about getting it stopped safely and not killing the truck. any opinions or recomendatios are welcome and needed.

last minute trip to needles this past weekend with the grilfriends family. we stayed at park moabi just a lil down up from pirates cove. it was a cool spot, its been 10 years since i was in that are, got to say i still like blyth and parker better. pirates cove was cool we hung out for a few hours and then went through the gorge to sand bar. wish i had brought my boat just to have it up there it was way to wwindy and rough for it though. good weekend met some cool people but ill stick to roadrunner and the sandbars in blythe.

« on: June 04, 2012, 08:24:41 AM »
after looking around im not going to put the 392 in the miller :( the cost of the exhaust i want is more than im willing to spend on the whole deal (4 to 6 thou) so im stayin wiht my freshend up 460. the problem is the wiring in my boat is beyond a nightmare. wires changes colors, end half way wire nuts. im not a wire a guy but im willing to work a trade for welding or machining service or just flat out pay to have it done. any recomendations on shops or anybody here have an intrest in it?
