WTB / WTB: Olds 455 Crank

Just got word from the builder about my block, needless to say, it was terrible. Looking for a crank for my olds 455. Also some pistons/rods.

Hulls / HELP! Crack in hull...

Well, i was going to remove the pump today to add some new gaskets and slicone, ext, when i crawled under the back of the boat just to take a gander at how things are going back there when i notice a 1 foot long hairline crack where the left side stringer that supports the motor is 
. I had never seen it there before today and its got me worried. I filled the bilge up with water to see if it would come out, but nothing. There are no visible cracks along the stringer where the motor sits on so i dont know where the crack runs into the boat 
The boat has been sitting for a month or so with some oily water in it and you can see oil around the crack, so i know its comeing in from some where.
My question is what do i do now?
Just sand down the bottom and add some glass matts and some resin and slap some more around the stringer? Im in the middle of building the motor and rewireing the whole boat so cash is tied up right now. I just dont want to get on the lake and gun it and the whole ass end of the boat explodes or something 
. Please, any ideas with a tight budget in mind would be great. I just want to do the best job possible without breaking the bank or reglassing the whole boat.
Ill post pictures in about 25 minutes, had to go home to get the camera.

Jet Pumps / help removing berkley pump

Hey all. I have never removed a pump out from my boat and since the motor is out for a rebuild, i was thinking now is the time. The pump is fine and has pretty new PC on it, but there is a leak somewhere and i figured now is the time to find it. I think its comeing from where the bowl through the transom adapter plate. There is a small bead of silicone around the bowl and you can see a few gaps. Even if this isnt the leak, i would like to take it out anyway so i can clean out the bilge and clean the intake of the pump. My question is what gaskets will i need to purchase and what needs to be re-siliconed after reinstallation. Also, What goes into removing the loader grate?

Projects / '71 Tahiti Rebuild

Had a build thread on another forum, figured i would post here to see if i get more replies, the other site is a smaller forum. Here it is as it sits so far.
The boat is a 71' Tahiti clone of a Sidewinder. Its got an olds 455/berkley
Well, It has been in the upper 70's all week here in cali so i decided to pull off the cover and get busy on the boat. Decided to get the motor out so i could start up the "re-wire" on it, and boy does it need it! Looks like to monkeys played chinese jump rope with them. Figureing its going to be a month or so before i have the cash for the rebuild, i went down to my local Harbor Freight Tools and picked up a 1000lbs engine stand for a cool 39.99! I dont know if you canadians have them, but they are the best place to buy tools that you dont use to often. The quality isnt really the best, but if you only need to use the stuff every now and again, they have rock bottom prices. Well as far as pulling the motor, IT WAS A BREEZE. I had my father on the jack, and my girlfriend takeing pics and helping out as well. 25-30 minutes, not bad for pulling the motor out for the first time. Driveline looked pretty good, pump splines were in good shape, stringers looked solid, pretty good day so far. Then the gods aligned the stars in the shape of a pentagram and THIS happend. While pulling off the flywheel so i could mount the motor onto my stand, THE VERY LAST BOLT STIPPED!!!!! . I ran out of options, so i drilled out the grade 8 bolt and hammerd in an "EZ-out" and i figured i was in good shape......until the EZ-out snaped inside the @#$% BOLT! bash. Well that was the end of the day, had to go cool off and think about my next step.. I guess im gonna use my plasma cutter and try to blast out what is left of the head and then go from there.......god, what a crappy way to end the day. But i did get some good pics
