So I have a 21 Carrera Eagle Open Bow with a stock Indmar BBC and I want more power. I'm not looking to beat anyone in a drag race just more giddy up with the family aboard. She doesn't do anything over 40mph at less than 4k. And when loaded she struggles.

Can you guys help me understand a Lil more and give some round about estimates on a build or buy. I think she is a good base for a build up but I get lost when I start reading you guys posts on flat tappet and full roller and intake and exhaust valve duration, cams, intake chamber volume, etc. I've looked for complete kits and I've seen Edelweiss Performer top end kits and cam kits but there are a million different options. I need help lol!

Need your help guys!

I got a new hard line for my b=carb today and took off the old cracked one. Right inside the connection to the carb there was a Gold thimble looking piece I assume was some sort of filter. I was spring loaded. Is this piece a necessity? What is it?

So if someone could give me a quick lesson on scoops. Forward facing vs. Backward facing. Exposed vs. Unexposed.

Is it a fuel air mixture issue. Is it a simple adjustment for the style you are running or want to run? Are there any advantages on one vs the other?

Boat Showcase / Dual vs Single Carb

Can you guys give me some input on the benefits of using a dual carb set up vs having a single? Are there HP/Torque gains? High end vs. Low end? I'm fairly new to boating but I'm in love!! I'm set on a tunnel ram set up. I'm moving from logs to Bassett thru transoms....and a few other changes.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Hard to find starter!

I need you guys collective wisdom on finding a replacement for a starter. My ride is an 86 Carrera Eagle. The starter has 3 bolts attaching. The solenoid is completely seperate.

Would this work from CP Performance? Everything thing I've found so far is not even close to what's in there.
