I've got an '82 Nordic with a 455 OLDS and I need to get ready for summer. I need to do an oil change, new sparkplugs, wires. What is the best oil to use? Sparkplugs (including gap)? How would I match up a set of wires and what would be the best? I bought the boat last year in Tuscon, AZ. and only ran once at Silverwood before taking home to Missouri. I noticed that a few of the wire boots melted. Any help?

I hear and read alot of bad things about the 455 OLDS. I have one in my '82 Nordic. As it runs fine now, what should I watch for or do to prevent any problems?
