Jet Pumps / Any suggestions??
« on: August 20, 2016, 02:18:45 PM »
So I'm pretty much a rookie at this stuff! But been doing a lot of reading here and elsewhere!! Gonna post a couple pics of my loader and impeller. Tell me what u think. I'm not gonna tear down until this winter but want to know what to plan for? Definitely an inducer. But not sure about the loader and intake??

Boats For Sale / 1985 crusader for sale
« on: August 14, 2016, 09:11:55 PM »
20.5' Crusader. BBC 454, hei ignition, Gillman aluminum logs & sails. Berkeley pump w/ work done. I think it's a bronze impeller (I'll try and get pics), loader, Place diverter full droop snoot and ride plate. Hyd control on nozzle. And upgraded nozzle as well. Adjustable exhaust inserts as well. I haven't had this boat very long. But I have my eye on another one! Hopefully someone out there is looking for one like this or knows someone that is! I'm in St George UT. But I would probably deliver to location within reason. Asking $6,000 obo. Maybe finders fee if you help me find her a home 😊

The No Wake Zone / Pressure relief
« on: June 30, 2016, 11:47:06 AM »
I'm another newbie to the jet boat scene. Had stern drives for years and always wanted to give a jet a whirl! That Being said I just got an 85 crusader 20' with a BBC and Berkeley pump. Had it out a couple times runs great! Noticed one of the logs leaking on the flange back by the snail and some bubbling on the intake. This was just while running on the water main at my house! We have a lot of pressure but can't imagine them leaking at even 75psi?? So I reseated the intake. Haven't done the exhaust yet. But I did some research and ran across a video explaining the prv valve. My boat didn't have one?? So I bought one from cp performance and installed a ball valve to regulate the flow. But have since read a thread on here saying I don't need either??? Can someone with legit experience tell me what the best course of action on these things is going to be?? Thanks in advance
