The No Wake Zone / Worst April Fools Joke Ever
« on: April 01, 2010, 02:23:22 PM »
So my old lady and I split up about a week ago after two and a half years. She hasn't really wanted to talk to me much which I understand and was trying to respect her want for space. Well I get a text from her today. Goes like this: "I thouhgt my hormones were out of wack due to stress and what not this being why I hadn't started my period. So on my lunch break I took a pregnancy test. We need to talk tonight ASAP." Well after about 100 repeated phone calls she answers and says know you know how your mom felt a year ago today. This is because we did the same thing to my mom last year. Well I was shaking, sweating and feeling sick before I realized she was saying April Fools. It has been nearly an hour and I still feel sick. Guess I deserve it. LOL

The No Wake Zone / Winter Prepping?
« on: November 05, 2009, 03:34:27 PM »
I have heard that you need to prep your boat for the winter. However I live in Bakersfield and my boat is kept in my garage so it is not open to mother natures rath. So is there anything that I should do before I decide that I am def. done for the winter. What about the water that is in the block. Shoud I get a bucket anfd fill it up with anti freeze and fire the boat so it pulls anti freeze in to help eliminate rust? Any help would be great.

One of my roommates is moving out so...
Looking to rent one room in a newly remodeled four bedroom house for 400 a month plus utilities (split four ways). The house is located off Stockdale and Allen and is about 3-5 miles from CSUB. The house would be shared with myself (owner) and my girlfriend plus our friend/roommate and our three loving dogs and cat. I am a 25yr old male and she is a 23 year old female. There are two rooms to choose from. One is a furnished room with a California king size bed and the other is fully furnished with a Queen size bed. We can remove one bed if you prefer to sleep on your own. Included with the house is garage storage, huge backyard, High speed wireless internet, DVR, and we are pet friendly. A little bit about us: We are super friendly easy to get a long with. We bar-b-que often, enjoy a cocktail now and then and are extremely laid back. Kind of person we are looking for: Anyone male or female who is neat, respectful, can pay their bills on time and is chill. Oh and absolutely no drugs. If this sounds like something you may be interested in please call me 805-835-8365 or 661-340-9988 or email me at donaldpeck@hotmail.com or djpeck@aeraenergy.com Room will be available early August and I am willing to pro-rate.

The No Wake Zone / can you run 1050 carb on 4150 style intake?
« on: June 28, 2009, 08:07:11 PM »
I am having problems locating a 950 carb but have found a few 1050's. However  have been told that you can't run a 1050cfm/4500 on a 4150 style intake which would commonly accept a 950cfm can you run the 1050/4500 carb on 4150 style intake? Does anyone make an adapter?

So I replaced my seats right at the beginning of summer. Well New upholstery anyways. Ca home on monday to find that back seat had been destroyed by my dogs. Or dog. I know mine isn't the culprit but his little brother (the gf's dog) is. I was upset but looked past it since mainly the boat is for me and my girlfriend. well the wind blew the cover off and I came home to find the passenger arm rest gone.      I don't know what to do. I can beat the dogs but whats the point. They know they did wrong so they won't even come near me. I looked at the boat and they were gone hiding. So ya I need new seats now. FU*K I am so mad. Any help would be great. I guess I am going to just go with fiberglass buckets this time. Good thing my new house that I am moving into this friday has R.V. Parking and a two car garage. This way  don't have to ark it in the backyard.

WTB / I need a 950 ASAP please help.
« on: May 14, 2009, 09:09:14 PM »
I am in need of a Holley 950 double pumper with manual secondaries. I have money but can't afford a new one. I also have a freshly rebuild 800 marine carburetor if it floats your boat (No pun intended) that I would be willing to get rid of. Ran on my boat one day. Ran like a champ just not enough CFM for me. So if any one has one they want to part with or can give me any leads it would be great. Thanks, DJ

The No Wake Zone / New Asus Computer
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:18:17 PM »
So my laptop broke for the third time in less than a year. This time it was past the two year service warranty by a month.  :banghead: So i called for the store manager who remembered me from the last time I was there for some reason. ;D Well after some talk he said he could fix it but would give me 100 bucks towards a new one since the back light is what went out again and is what they replaced less than a three months ago. I said let me think. He walks to the back room comes back to me and says he will give me trade in value which turns out to be 425 dollars roughly. well I got a new Asus desktop and a printer, scanner, photocopier, and a 23" Acer flat screen. All gloss black. I love it. Thanks to the Store Manager named Tim I got this bad ass computer for about 400 dollars after the trade in value.

Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / Polished BBC Intake
« on: April 12, 2009, 08:11:18 AM »
Here is my old intake that I have for sale. It is a polished Edelbrock performer 2.0 set up with oval ports. It retails for 350 i believe so I am going to list at 200  but will accept any reasonable offer. (that is what I deam reasonalbel. LOL) I a looking for a holley 950 double pumper however and would seriously consider a trade and putting in some cash to amke things even. Let me know if you are uinterested or have what I am looking for.

So I purchased a new intake last week. When I went to put it on I pulled the valve covers off and found a broken Rocker Arm Stud, broken push rod, bent push rod and broken lifter. Needless to say i have been running all seven cylinders lately. LOL So now it is time to overhaul the engine. Hell it is only money right. If anyone has rocker arm stud girdles I am looking for a set. Till next time.  >:D
