I was adjusting the bucket on my boat the other day and i tore the plastic casing on the cable.  It hasn't affected the throw but i am afraid of water entering the line and causing corrosion in the future.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to waterproof the line to keep water out.  I tried silicone but the first run it came off.

boat is in mo but it looks like it is in really good shape.  (not much of a market for something like this in my neck of the woods)

I came across this picture of this visor (what i would call it) that protects your engine bay from waves.  does anyone know where to get something like this or make it?
