Suggestions / Support / Log Exhaust Fitment

Hello,
I currently have a set of Nicson log manifolds on a BBC. There is a serious alignment issue with the thru hull fittings. Last time I put the motor in I had to clamp the 3.5" exhaust hose on the snail and ratchet strap the manifold to the head to get everything bolted up. This definitely created a lot of stress on everything. I've never worked on boats before and just put it back together the way i bought it.
This time I'm looking for a better way. I used to think maybe it was a different engine combo from the factory. Now I'm leaning towards the possibility the engine was always Chevrolet and the manifolds were swapped out causing the misalignment. I'm looking for any information regarding who makes manifolds with a port approximately 2" longer than the Nicson to shift the centerline further to the side of the hull.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
