Interior / 1 fuel level gauge with 2 senders?

Anyone ever do this and have a diagram I was thinking a switch? Like a 3 position up for left tank down for right tank? Would that work?

Sorry if in the wrong section. Threw many Google searches I always end up here. I've been building a 455 olds powered jet boat for a year now. I will post some pics later. This site has a lot of good info hope to be around for a while. Is there anyone else from FL or everyone is cali?
