Jet Pumps / Does this look right? Dominator 12 TD Bowl bearing/Bowl plug

New boat for me.  Went to lubricate the bowl bearing and came across this.  The zerk is recessed in whatever this is.  Is this a normal setup?  I have only seen the bowl plug on my buddy's jet.  1995 Dominator 12 TD

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Is a gen V bbc 454 interchangeable with gen IV

I've searched, but just can't find the answer.  If I missed a post that answers this please link it for me.  I have a gen IV bbc 454 in my Commander jet boat running a Dominator pump.  I am dropping in a remanufactured motor and have a line on a gen V.  Are they interchangeable or will I need to mod things?  Thanks.
