I got stuck with these valve covers a few years ago. Purchased from a fellow board member that couldn’t use them. I bought them for a buddy but the buddy backed out. They have been sitting in my garage ever since. Please…if you guys know anybody that wants these things let me know ASAP!!!

CP Performance Marine Part # 620-44050
A number of companies have tried to copy this Hardin Marine cover by building sand cast copies. There's a difference if you look at their wavy, pin holed, porous covers you'll see that the Hardin Marine "XS" Xtreme cover is a beautiful die cast cover with no waves and no blemishes. So if you're looking for the best1-piece cover this is it. This cover has been specially designed to fit marine Big Block Chevy engine with center rise exhaust. Angling one side of the cover helps to access the 2 lower center bolts while maintaining enough valve cover height to run roller rockers and stud girdles. One of the covers has a billet screw in -16 AN oil fill.

If anyone is interested please message me. If you're worried about shipping, I live in Santa Paula/ Ventura County and I am sure we can work something out with some silver bullets! :)

I tried this with a couple of New York steaks from costco and it turned out real good!

I did a little dry rub with some BBQ seasonings, chopped up some fresh garlic, and marinaded for a 24hrs with 1/2 cup of red wine (merlot), 1/2 cup of Crown Royal.
Used hickory wood chips and cooked over indirect heat. Medium-rare. Came out pretty damn good!!

Projects / PROJECT: CONDOR
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:58:45 PM »
It's time to start back to basics here. I told myself when I bought this boat that I would run it/enjoy it untill it died then tear it all apart. Almost lasted a year (bought last Aug.2009). I bitched and moaned about the Oklahomo-nis of the rigging on the boat and I couldn't be happier to tear into this thing and start building it back up with all new hardware...lets just say that I have a pretty good vision in my head on how it will perform and look. Rigging? I'll admit it I will be stealing many ideas from Boost (dig your work bro!). Besides all that I cant wait to dive in...haven't had to since back in my Miller days!
I have a few pics to start off with.

some areas that will be addressed:

Some stress cracks

check out crack in passenger side stringer!

The No Wake Zone / Lost an old High School Bro yesterday
« on: December 12, 2009, 11:48:20 AM »
Lost a good friend of mine from back in the day, yesterday.
From what I'm hearing is that he was jumped by a group of guys and left for dead. He was put on life support and yesterday they took him off.
This guy would give you the shirt off his back anytime, anywhere without a doubt!
I just found out that he was homeless living on the streets. Im so bummed. If I only knew, I could of done somthing to help his situation.
I remember whenever I would see him he would always say "punch me in the stomach" and I would. Then he'd say punch me harder pussy...I remember laying into a punch and he didn't move an inch!
He was built like a pit bull! But just the nicest guy.
Sad that he was taken away from us but he is in a better place.
Im fuckin bummed.

SoCal Lakes / Going back to Lake Casitas!!!
« on: October 31, 2008, 09:02:27 AM »
The boat Passed Inspection!!!! No more spending an arm and a leg to drive to Lake Piru for crappy chopped up water! It was costing me pretty much $100bucks depending if I needed gas in the truck to drive an hour and a half to Lake Piru for test and tune. Not anymore. Now its back to driving 4 miles from my driveway to the front gate at Casitas. I've been waiting for summer to be over so that I can do this.
The inspection: Pretty simple. The ranger is a cool old timer. He said he loves inspecting jet boats because he doesnt have to hop up in or stick his head down any wierd engine compartments. He basically walked around, checked the bilge and what not for any water. I filled out some basic paperwork, then he put on the cable and lock (which are mine now) with a tamper proof clip (which is theres). He said that rangers have caught people tampering with the clip. Going so far as to cut the cable and use shrink wrap to put it back together. It was $50bucks for the inspection and lock and key. Now I'm waiting out the 10 day quarintine till I can use the lake. Since its coming into winter time, I dont think I will be tampering with this system. If caught your done at Casitas!
Looking forward to getting out there and spending some real time (not rushed) on smooth water to get this boat dialed in for next season.... Becuase there is this guy Jermey with a '78Cole with a BBF who just needs to be spanked real bad by a Chevy guy!!!j/k ;)

I'm looking for a clean ass jet boat (CP perferred) but will consider anything but a Kona or a Tahiti, without motor. I'm really bummed that I didn't jump on that late 70's Brendella with the rail kit. But now that I have my tax $$$ I'm looking for a nice little project boat. Must have Berkeley Pump!
