Okay so im not new to building motors but the fire breathing small blocks we put together in my garage to put into anything with wheels is alil different than the 468 thats in my boat. Im not going for all out speed, as much as id love to, my wallet and other projects come before the boat since it already runs n needs nothing virtually. My question is, i have an edelbrock tunnel ram with holley 600s on it and i think its just too much for my application. My motor isnt a krazy build, mild to most and my standards. So would i benifit from moving down to like a victor jr intake with say a demon 850?? Im open to suggestions, I just want a reliable setup that I use to its full ability. With my current setup the highest RPMs i see is 5700, Idk if i really wana push it too much further for reliabilities sake. Anyone else have same setup??

Okay so my 73 wriedt maverick has a solid 454 in it with a berk jc pump, at wide open i see alil bit over 5500 rpm. can anyone tell from that, what impeller i might have?? can i get more?? Also i was told i cant put a place diverter or jet o vator on this pump due to being a single bowl or somthing, Im new to this jet boat realm so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
