Interested in why some people prefer to run the jet over the gear box...I'm in a spot to be able to buy my first real nice boat and want to be sure I'm making the right decision. I'm looking at a CP performance 18 turnkey. But I do know that the v-drive boats can get with it! Thoughts?

so i baught some pretty sweet JBL Marine 6x9s to replace the shot speakers in the back of my boat..the ones that are in the boat are like a 5x7 or something like that..these 6x9s are much bigger for the holes that are already cut into my interior..is the sound going to be that much better out of these 6x9s to enlarge the holes and have those big ass speakers back there?? i have a 10"sub under the bow so im not couting on these for all of my bass..i also have a pair of mids under the bow as well..so there is alot of speaker in this boat..

since i already have them here i was thinking to just do it...but what are your guys thoughts??

hey guys, just brought this thing home yesterday. 82 marlin with a small block 350, berk pump. its a sweet boat and cant wait to finish up the few things to get her on the water again.

there is way to many options when it comes down to buying a new impeller. can someone shine some light on this subject?? is the aluminum imp any good? or would it be a waste of time and money to go that way and i should just buy the stainless impeller? what is the ticket on this??

then the cut..its going to be in a small block application. its a 350 now but will become a 383 stroker next winter. so what cut of impeller should i look into? a b c aa ab q y x z h p?? 

any help is apreciated.

hey guys im building a BBC for a 75 Tahiti hull with a panther jet. im very new to the jet boat world so i figure yall could help me out.

I have the block already. 4 bolt main. i have both a short deck and a tall deck block so i can use either. my question foryou guys is what type of parts should i use?? i have built a few engines for cars and i race a 70 camaro with a BBC pushin about 680hp. i know that auto and marine engines are different so thats why i ask. I want to be sure i get the correct stuff and get good stuff to build a good reliable engine. i would like to see speeds close to/in the 60mph range if possible..
