I'll try and keep the pics and updates flowing.  If anyone has any input or suggestions I'd apreciate them.

If anyone in Norcal is a good painter and not a good tradesman, lets talk.  I'm a general contarctor and maybe we could work some thing out.

Boat Racing / Want to go racing...
« on: December 15, 2011, 12:00:18 AM »
Well it looks like we are not going to race the car I work on this year due to the owners budget.

I have been wanting to race boats since I got into them 13 years ago.  Now I'm gonna give it a go.  I need help figureing out a few things.  First and foremost is what class I can put my boat and myself in....  Based on the boats I've ran against in the last year or so, I believe mine can go in the high 11s.  Is there a 12 index??  Second is equipment.  I was on The Lucas Oil website today and I went through all thier rules and it looks like the only major thing I need to add is a rope deflector.  Any thing else you guys can think of?

Btw, I live in the SF bay area so I'm planning on the NJBA deal I've seen, since most of the races seem to be in B-field.

Just need a little guidence.  What did you guys learn when you first started, what would you guys tell a new guy to think about or do to be prepared???

                                                     Thanks in advance,  Brian.

Projects / Winter project just got bigger (now with pics)
« on: November 23, 2010, 02:14:05 PM »
went to storage to get the boat.  Got there and found that my cover and all my straps grew legs and found a new home.   At least they left my engine cover.  Point being it sat un covered for who knows how long      ( havent been there in 5 weeks).  Its been raining pretty good up here so my interior that I was gonna push through 1 more season is now sitting in a sloppy pile next to the boat.  My carpentry skills are very good (16 years), my upolstery skils...  eh, not so much.  Probably gonna rebuild the front buckets the way they were.  I don't like the layout in the rear so much though.  Two small benches facing each other.  Very inconvienent for anyone over 4' tall.  Any suggestions on an allteranate arangement??  gonna post pics tonight if I have time.  Thanks for readin.

Gotta fix the filler neck, rewire entire boat and redo interior.

BTW if anyone has info on how to get pics from photobucket to here as a thumbnail let me know.  Sorry bout the havin to open each pic individually.

Projects / Boat wiring
« on: November 18, 2010, 01:36:08 PM »
Gettin ready to rewire my boat.  My question is, does anyone have any pics of their wiring they could share??  Espesially if it has been relocated from the back of the motor!! thats what I'm going for.  I can't stand looking at the wiring even if its clean and new.  Any suggestions or ideas for an alternate location would be great, pics would be awesome.  Thanks for reading.
