I'm not that familiar with Ford, however I would poke around in each of the drains with toothpick or small rod or small drill bit to get any sand out of the way, for all the water to drain.

I've worked for a few dealerships, writing service and as service manager, over the last 20 years. From Ogden Lincoln Mercury in Westmont/Oak Brook Illinois to Precision Toyota and Holmes Tuttle Ford in Tucson back to Ogden Lincoln Mercury/Kia in North Aurora Illinois. Lots of different leadership, between these dealerships. Precision Toyota, was by FAR the best dealership, to work and buy from. Our standards of conducting business were very high at Toyota, then we come to Lincoln Mercury/kia of North Aurora Illinois. There were times we'd have a vehicle on the trans flush machines (5 times in fact) that the machine provider would come in an unhook and take the machine and what was left of my chemicals for the machine, for lack of payment. I do know that the $105 per hour labor rate does pay for sending my techs to school every 6 mos or so and there union wage, as well as lights and electric. At Toyota, we had 22 techs that were sent to school all the time. Ogden Lincoln Mercury's way of "saftying" a used vehicle was unbelievable. Never wanted to put a dime in them, but sold them for top dollar. I felt dirty working for them. There are good and bad dealerships, and I'm happy to have forgotten most of the bullsh*t.

I'll throw new tires on the old trailer the stevens sits on (single axle, solid but rough old trailer) and set the stevens on the ground while I build a dolly. Dude, I was drowning my sorrows, in a bottle of Wild Turkey, at the time I wrote that. However, if I feel the need to stay home, or loose my job, and sit home and wait for Obama's free money, that the working stiffs will be providing, maybe we can have fun and take a road trip out there.
We could swing thru Tucson, got a bunch of friends there. I'd never snake a boat from my forum buds from the west, but I think it'd be a f'in blast, to go screw off for a week with them.

Man, I would love nothing more! That would be a blast. But, unfortunately, not a option for me. I don't think that foam will work under water, without air, will it? I was under the impression that, air was the catalyst for the foam. My thoughts for the towable tubes, was to rig a sling, using 2 tubes across front and 2 in rear, secured to the deck cleats, or anything to keep the sling from shifting. Using the tow ropes, will let two guys pull back and forth under the bow, to use as a sling, same with stern. We've salvaged a couple small boat, that were in 6' waters, this way. It went pretty smooth, rednecks. LOL. I'm just thinking out loud, not meaning to butt in. Just a thought.

I'm happy to see the kid thing, is the same the world over. She's sixteen going on 30, thinks we owe her everything, meaner than h-ll to her 3yr younger brother, but loves the heck out of the 6yr old. Bought her a new Chevy Cobalt, she rolled it six weeks later, (thank God she was ok). Couldn't afford another, so I sold a 12ft Baja Scat Cat and put her into a 97 Pontiac Grand Am Gt, doesn't like it, won't drive it. Thinks I should pay for her out of state college, (on my 50k yr) told her she can get a student loan, she'll live longer to pay them off. I'll probably be dead soon, she can have my blood, when I'm gone. Venting...

1988 Tahiti. 15' 11", Hardin Marine 5.7L Berkley 12JE pump with "A" impeller. Hydraulic Place diverter with Banderlog diverter power relay. Used set of Bassett over transom, chrome, twistie headers would go with it. Interior is near perfect, no cuts or tears. Hull is in very good condition, 2 minor gel fractures from impact, just below rub rail. Custom cockpit cover. Boat is all original, except for diverter & cockpit cover. Single axle trailer. Has approximately 200 hrs, and looks like it. $7200.00 OBO mrh@1mrh.com

Man, that looks like a blast ! I don't know what powertrain is in it, most likely VW. There's a ton of performance for VW, out there. I had a Meyers Manx in the late 80's running a fire breathing 2200cc. I had the respect of the "cool" V-8" guy's. Handled great too. Get us some more pictures ! Tell us more about it.
