Bought some of those black steel shelves from Costco.  This is 4 of them lined up on the wall. Both the car and truck fit. Or the boat and sand car fit.

I'm going to the laughlin/bullhead river regatta just seeing who else is going. It's the weekend of aug. 8th through the 10th. Anyone going let's meet up! I'm staying at the golden nugget. Should get there thurs. Night.

I may go if they fixed the bus situation. Last year we waited 3 hours for the hotel return busses. Had the same thing happen in 2011 as well.

Carrera202: thank you
Mark: that would be F-ing awesome, thank you.

I have a request for anyone that has an ORANGE FLAKED boat, or just Orange in general.
Not sure if I mentioned it, but ORANGE is the universal color for childhood leukemia (such as pink is for breast cancer, clear is for lung cancer, etc.) so that is the color I've decided to paint ours.
I bought a pound of Orange Flake, and 25 Grams of Orange pearl additive, but I'd like to see some "close up" views of different shades of orange on boats. I googled it but wasn't very successful, thanks.

Not any flake, but here's my float.

I have 2 generic A/T 33x1250x15. I had them on my buggy last this winter. I ran them with tubes, so I'm not sure if they hold air without. I can take a picture in the morning if interested. $20 for both. Located in Indio.

I have a 750 edlebrock #1407 for sale. $150. It came off a rebuilt long block I bought. I doesn't look like it was ever run, just used for mock up.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: New build disappointment
« on: May 21, 2014, 06:20:17 PM »

Here's a pic of the boat. I think it shows why I had to do logs.

Maybe I was falsely led to believe that a big inch motor like this could easily make 500+ hp in current form and over 650 hp with proper exhaust, alum heads and single plane intake.

So, should I start carving on the impeller to get the RPM's up? This thing has a 7k rpm bottom end in it. Go to something like an A/B and see how it does? I'd be happy to see 5500 - 6000 at WOT. I've got a brand new A sitting here I could try. This carb and intake are good to 6500 on this size engine. Is this exhaust that big of a deal in this combo?

Not even close to mechanically inclined, but I do have the exact same hull as  yours. I'm running a mild BBC (350hp) and had a JC-A. (Dominator now) and I was running 57mph at 4500rpm.

Jet Pumps / Hydraulic diverter question.
« on: May 05, 2014, 05:45:59 PM »
This winter I swapped my Berkley JC for Dominator split bowl. My question is: The old JC had a hydraulic Jet-O-Vater, can I put a hydraulic Place Diverter on the Dominator and use the old Berkley hydraulics and controls to operate the trim? Or would I have to replace the old JOV equipment with PD hydraulics?

I had a major leaking through my swim steps last summer. It had old rusty hardware. Stainless steel bolts and silicone fixed my issue

To everybody heading out to Parker via the 10 fwy. Remember, Coachella is this weekend and with that comes the most dangerous vehicles and drivers on the road, Rental RV's. Inexperienced drivers in those thing cause major accidents out here so be sure to give them plenty of room, because they won't give it to you.

I've got a 750 edlebrock model 1407. I've never used it. Looks like it was used for mock up. It came on a long block I bought.  $175 plus ride.
