The No Wake Zone / Re: Vent placement
« on: June 06, 2015, 05:12:19 PM »
Ok ready to drill some hole but the vents I bought are only flush in one spot. Should I just go with the old school vents like the one above. Any ideas would be awesome.

I was curious to what everyone thinks is the best thing to do if you get stuck in a monsoon or heavy rain on the lake or river.

Do i need to know the river like the back of my hand?

I made this run last year and was told to just stick the AZ side and i would be fine. I was luckily and had no issues. i did float for a little ways (which turned out to be a perfect time). while floating down the water was less than a foot deep (i think around Needles). the way back seemed fine the whole way. The point of this question is that someone told me that only make that run if you know that part of the river really well or most likely could find some rocks. Headed out to Avi on memorial and wanted to run up that way a time or two. Just trying to see if there is some parts to really avoid.

I have a pair of those off the original set up. I figured the vent would look a little better. Thanks for offering.

I just closed the engine compartment and need to put some vents on. I am trying to decide on whether to put 2 of the small or large vents and handles on. I don’t have a lot of room to work with but also want to make sure i have enough air flow (454 BBC stock Hardin motor).

Any pics of your vents would be greatly appreciated or advice. Thanks again.

5oclocksomewhere I was curious if you had some pics of the motor, interior ect. I have the same but in Red (93 Hardin). I have it in the shop at the moment getting the interior re-done. What MPH do you normally get? I seem to be stuck around 50ish. was hoping you have better and could tell me what you have done to the boat. Congrats on the new ride!

The No Wake Zone / Re: Doghouse to Bench seat...does anyone have pics
« on: April 03, 2012, 10:50:03 AM »
I am sold on doing it. Now just have to so if i can can do it myself. I think the biggest problem is going to be the upholstery on the driver and passenger seats. Being they have the reverse seats attached as one seat. Is it as hard as it looks to do it on your own?

I am thinking of removing the doghouse over the motor and and have it fully covered and have a bench seat. I have seen a lot of good post but i was not able to find any pics of before and after. If you did do it how do you like VS. the old way?
