I am planning to go up on Saturday morning for the day (from Fresno/Clovis) If anyone wants a ride up, give me a call. I haven't been before, but from what I've heard, it's a good show with some really sharp classic vdrive boats.

So there was this LA lawyer who went up to Montana to go duck hunting. Well, he shot at a duck and hit it, but it fell onto private property, just across the fence. Just as he was jumping over the fence, an old farmer drove up in his old truck and said, "What are you doing on my property?" The lawyer replied that he was going to retrieve the duck that he had just shot. The farmer said,"Oh no you don't, it's my duck now--it's on my property." The lawyer said,"Look, I'm the most prominant trial attorney in LA, and if we take this to court, you're going to lose your farm." The farmer replied, "No you don't understand--here in Montana, we don't go to court, we use the "three kick rule" to settle these types of disputes."

The lawyer says, "What is the "three kick rule"?" The farmer replied, "Well, first I would kick you three times, then you would kick me three times, and so on until one of us gives up and the other guy wins."

The lawyer looked at the old farmer, and figuring he was younger, bigger, and stronger, agreed to settle the dispute under the Montana rule. Before he finished agreeing, the farmer gave him a crushing kick to the nuts. The lawyer crumpled to the ground only to have his nose nearly wiped off his face with a second kick, and before he could clear his head, the farmer broke several ribs with a final monster blow to the kidneys.

The lawyer, bloodied and battered, slowly managed to get up, driven only by the desire to strike back at the farmer, who he warned by threatening, "Now it's my turn, you old coot, prepare to meet your maker", to which the farmer replied, "Naw, I give up--you can have the duck."

I thought the issue was a tank that draws from the top won't empty out into the bilge if there was ever a break/leak in the fuel line.

I am not an expert on loaders, and have never looked at one from this angle, but could your's be too restrictive? My experience with 60 mph cruisers is that a stock rock grate works fine. (GT and propless, you type too fast)

When I got my first cruiser with a bow rail, I was going to take it off, but asked a fiberglass shop owner. He pointed to the rafters where several bow rails were stored, and said that a lot of owners want them removed, but he told me that if it was him, he'd leave it. I did leave it on, got used to the look, and found that it really comes in handy putting the boat back on the trailer, holding it at the dock, and moving it at the beach. In terms of the wind shield, some boats look good with one, and some don't--Personally, I like the Spectra look.

Whoa--now those are fightin' words. In my opinion and in the opinion of nearly every classic hot boater I know, the Sanger mini "double bubble" cruiser is unique, distinctive, cleanly styled, and much sought after hull, not only for its looks, but also for its performance.

Well, I may be a bit biased, but here is a 20' Sanger cruiser--not a flat bottom, and not 22'--at a pretty good price. Located in central valley--Kingsburg, which is just north of Kings river and HWY 99--about 30 miles from me.

Hmmm, $35,000 Canadian. I wonder if he'd take $50 american?

I know a guy who just used nice shiney new screws to attach his seat bases to the bottom of the boat--then couldn't figure why his boat wouldn't float off the trailer.
