The xp4 I've gotten it from summit. If i order in the morning I get it next day, but I found it on Amazon for a little cheaper. With prime you can have it in 2 days.

I took a recommendation from Bostick and started running Joe Gibbs XP4 in my last boat and I just changed the oil on my new boat and ran the same stuff. Has plenty of zinc already in it and pretty easy on the wallet.

Like kroggy said,  best way to tell is the Coves launch ramp. If you can see the rocks on the right...... it's still too low lol.

Usually Fridays are pretty low, sometimes I won't even launch. Then it starts coming up and pretty good sat morning by around 10. 2 weeks ago Friday was really good and sat it was higher than usual it seemed. So.... it varies but other than Friday, the weekends are pretty good.

78southwind pretty much explained everything you need to know. We may be out there that weekend as well. We keep our trailer at the Cove. I'll definitely keep in touch with you on this thread as that weekend gets closer.

SoCal Lakes / Re: How is Lake pyramid?
« on: June 24, 2017, 07:54:05 AM »
Im thinking about heading over to lake pyramid this weekend as Elsinore is looking way too green for me. Does anyone know what time i should get there by? I heard they reach full capacity pretty fast on the weekends but i have never been. I also heard that Castaic isnt so bad either.

Ive been there 3 or 4 times. Its a pretty nice lake. Definitely get there early on the weekend. Every time I have been there, Ive pulled up at around 5:15 am and I was probably the 15th to 20th truck in line. Gates open at 6 but they also let anyone staying at the campground in first. They weren't doing mussel inspections the last time I went about 4 years ago, but I hear they are now so, make sure everything is dry, including the pump. If you do go, my favorite spot is just passed the no wake zone make a right, youll see 2 coves, take the left one. All of the way in the back, there is a dock, picnic tables with shade and bathrooms too.

My new boat has the Autometer ProComp marine gauges. By far my favorite ones of any other ones that I have owned.

We have stayed in them before,  they are pretty nice. The ac works pretty good, cable tv and a full size shower is nice. It's has pots, pans, silverware, pretty much everything you need.

Just curious but, unless you're starving for fuel, why do you want to increase flow??? Not gonna make a difference once the bowls are full....... right??

For the windows, there is a guy named Primo Martinez. His shop is O.C. Boat windows. He has a lot of templates for windshields, Windows, transom splash shields for a lot of boats. If he doesn't have a template he can usually copy from your existing ones.

Went down there, way to windy and heavy chop for the first time in with the new float

Yeah it was, but the West side of the lake wasn't nearly as bad. I did one full lap, but on the second one I went halfway and turned around, came back on the West side. I was the only out there so.........
