what is gen V and mark IV ? I know its the type motor but I don't know what I have . If you could steer me in the right direction I would appreciate any advice you could throw my way. As you can tell I'm sorta new to this and it would sure be nice to go in the right direction about what I need. I know there's a lot of guys on here that do this in their sleep. If you guy's wouldn't mind I sure could use your input and advice. This is going to be a father and son project. thank's for your reply.....gary

looking for BBC stuff ,mounts ,oil pan , logs and snails. I have logs and snails for 455 olds to get rid of. I have them listed local but I've got so much great info from this site and entertained by you guys they will be free to anyone here that wants them. I have an 86 silverado pu for sale 305 motor w/ 700R trans, pwr everything. I've owned this truck for 10 yrs and it has always been dependable and wouldn't hesitate to drive any where. I sold it to my son awhile back and he started taking it apart to fix it up but just got to the taking apart stage only. I couldn't bare to see that happen to that truck so I bought it back.I put it back together after purchasing all the parts again he lost. Now its back to its old self again . It cost me 2400.00 to get everything back together including all the smog stuff he took off. . it passed smog with no problem 4 months ago. Now i just want 2500.00 for it so I can put the $$ in my boat.Has nice clean grey interrior and is black primer on outside. Clean truck ,I will post pics in a couple days 562-250-7232

thanks to all of you who answered . Funny thing happened in the mean time , found a 454 w/ tunnel and dual carbs bassets and turn key on ebay for sale and I picked it up for $1425.00 so I guess I will be swapping the Olds now with a chevy now I'm on the hunt for some shinny mounts to install it. Again thanks to all and this is really a cool site and would like to go boating with you guys this coming summer....gary

Nube here,getting ready to rebuild a 455 olds motor for my jet boat but if I can find one in good cond ready to drop in I might go that route instead, also looking for headers for same motor so I can get rid of the thru the transom exhaust. If anyone has or knows ,please let me know ,thanks, gary

I am putting a 455 olds motor together as we speak and am in need of some parts that were missing. intake mani,dist carb alt , starter and i'm sure other stuff i don't know of yet. do u still have parts for sale. I would have bought those headers in a sec.
