Interior / Beede gauge
« on: July 15, 2015, 06:34:05 AM »
So my temp gauge has been cracking along the side for the longest time, and it finally broke. I think I pressed my Bessel on a little to much when I took it off to powder coat it. Anyways, I've been searching around online and I found their website. I emailed a sales rep like a week ago and haven't gotten anything back. I know that Hardin Marine distributes them, but is there any other place I can get one or any other way I can reach out to someone in sales?

Lake Havasu / Re: Havasu seaweed?
« on: July 12, 2015, 11:57:37 AM »
I guess I sucked some up at the beginning of the channel and since its no wake I couldn't really tell the difference in power. So I was just idling through but I could feel how hot my engine was getting (temp gauge is temporarily broken) but I had no idea that it was the seaweed in my pump. So whenever I finally stopped I felt underneath and grabbed two huge handfuls of grass from the bottom the intake. I'm just glad I didn't harm the engine at all from how hot it was getting.

The worst I've ever seen it, watch out in the channel it's really bad 👎
Thats where I caught it the second time! The first time was right at the mouth of the lake trying to go up River. Right by Disneyland.

Lake Havasu / Havasu seaweed?
« on: July 11, 2015, 05:08:20 PM »
Is anyone else running down in havasu who keeps sucking up all of this damn seaweed? I've sucked it up twice today and both times I almost over heated my engine. It's starting to become overwhelming.

Having some Yuengling while down on vacation to New Orleans. Super good beer, I just wished they sold it in/around the vegas area.

He probably sh*t his pants going off that wake and the front started to lift. Looks like he wheelied for a little bit before he finally flipped.

Are you looking for a good day cruiser or just a good boat in general?

I was never a big fan of kachinas. Maybe this will help your decision. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/general-boating-discussion/206656-kachina-boats.html

Race Fuel - How much a gallon and what is the octane?  Never seen it or bought it before.
Av gas is 100 octane and the vp race gas is 110. Not sure on price but you're probably looking at around $10 a gallon.

Time for a 454 lol. No but if you know what you're doing, I would stick with rebuilding it yourself. Like you said, you might just be inheriting someone else's problem. At least this way you know it'll work and work good.

Did you put that rub rail on, or did it already have it on when you got it?

Just stay away from Laughlin and Havasu. Mostly where people hang out is where the POPO will get you.
Damn, well no dry headers for me haha. Those are the two main places I go.

Just don't get caught in the Wildlife Refuge area in the gorge with dry, uncorked headers. Big dollars $$$.

Dan'l
Really? Is it just the gorge or will I be fine going up to like Sandbar being dry?
