It all depends on personal choice and the particular needs of your motor. I'm not well versed when it comes to the 455 but I do know that the oiling system in those motors can be a bit problematic. Everyone I know that owns a boat runs a bbc including myself. We all use 20w50 One guy runs Castrol GTX. Another guy runs Valvoline VR1. And yet another guy I know runs the Pep Boys house brand. I use Royal Purple and my motor seems to be okay with it. At my shop we stock 15w40 for Diesel and very high mielage engines only.

Looks to me like the rooms are probably pretty nice. Unlike the Edgewater......stayed there last month and I vow to never return!!!
