Great job on the braided steel lines. They're a tricky lot. They'll perforate ya in a hurry!!!
Did ya use a hair dryer to warm the hoses? It helps keep from cross threading in those tight bends.

Do ya know the history of it? if not have it checked for cracks at a machine shop before purchasing.

He had an upset tummy. I thought it was safe.... set him on the counter...
got him all detailed and just when I went to put the new diaper on he projectile poops!!!!!

Good advise!
To check for leaks start motor, spray starting fluid around the mounting surface where the heads/intake meet,, If it fluctuates it's leeking. Redo it, I use Fel-Pro brand, Checker/Shucks/ Kragen carries them.

I had the 10 qt pan,some oil mods, I just bought the boat, Had to put bearings in it. Ran it 10 more times. Did stay in it for more than 30 seconds or so. The motor is a part now , bearings look great! I'm using them again. Put the drain back hoses on the back of the heads to the oil pan. Use radius fittings. No right angles. I got all my stuff a Parker hydrolics for 59 dollars. Hand drill, tap ( you may have to grind the end of tap down ) Also watch out with the 1/2 drill. It WILL whip your a$$ if not carefull .

About our mototr falling off the boat. Sun. evening I'm hoofing it up to my sons roller hockey game and lo and behold this outboard has cracked the transom and is getting ready to exit. I moved over to the next lane and hoped nobody run it over on the freeway. Poor sob got home and probly just had the cables and some well ground pcs.
