I have a 950 dp Holley on my 454 with a mild cam and performer as well. Best carb I have put on there hands down. I personally don't like the edelbrocks I would go holley

SoCal Lakes / Re: Pyramid tomorrow
« on: May 03, 2015, 09:32:25 PM »

ive been  told (and i think its marked) that they have 35mph limit.  ive seen boats break that number.....ive broken it on my jetskis.  ive heard a couple 'loud' boats....not too many tho.  not sure if theyve been warned at all.
perris is strict when it comes to boat inspections!!!  have a towel with you and stop before you get to inspection area to double check your boat for ANY water.

It was an interesting day to say the least lol. It was my first time there and yes they are very strict. The water and size in my opinion is ten times better then Elsinore I was surprised.
The bad part was that my cousins ski fell out of the back of his truck going down the launch ramp and he ended up running it over in the process.

Never done a ford but I will be buying this twin turbo 468 off a buddy that we built a while back for his jet. Are you running all stock internals ? This is the motor running on the stand. We were messing with the carbs to make it sound like a blower motor lol. Pretty badass set up though

Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / Rebuilt 454
« on: May 01, 2015, 09:42:56 PM »
Just throwing this out there to see if someone is interested. I have a bbc 454 that I pulled from my boat to freshen up and have an opportunity to buy a twin turbo 468 for a steal from a buddy.

The block is a mark vi. Block number is 361959 with oval port heads edelbrock performer manifold and a loapy cam ( do not know the size or duration ) pretty stock motor from what I see but it's a great runner. It will come ready to go minus carb. I just put all new freeze plugs, oil pan gasket, head gaskets (felpro) intake mani and all. I only have these pictures right now but can get more in a couple days. Make me an offer

Well I finally brought the boat home and pulled the motor. Surprisingly it looks great. No rust in the bottom end at at and no water in the filter. Pulled the motor down and everything looked good. Gonna get some new gaskets and main caps and put it back together. I'll be painting the motor since I have it out. What do you guys recommend for paint ? I was thinking engine enamel ?

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: Removing bow railing
« on: April 24, 2015, 04:54:38 PM »
I have cleats on the side to tie up to. I like the way it looks without the rail

So I was shopping around today for some covers and found these 3" cover plates from a plumbing store nearby. They look to fit perfect and are shiny chrome for under 10 bucks.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: Removing bow railing
« on: April 24, 2015, 01:58:00 PM »

Look back at the thread from Bluewater. There was a boat with the bow railing removed and had aluminum discs machined to cover the "foot print" where the railing mounts to the deck. Looked pretty clean

Yeah I just saw that on Nordic454's boat. Are those something I can buy or so they need to be made ?

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Removing bow railing
« on: April 24, 2015, 01:04:11 PM »
Hey guys needs some advice on removing my bow railing on the Nordic. Last year while floating and buddy and me were messing around on the bow and long story short he fell over but his leg got caught in between the railing and boat twisting his ankle. Sooo I'm just gonna remove it to avoid this problem. My question is how would I go about filling the holes ? Is there another way to maybe cap then instead ? Any advice would be great.

Here's a pic of the railing

I would also be interested in hearing the negative. I've ran it in my boat, street/strip car and my Superjet with no problems. But if it's got bad reviews I would like to knoe
