There's lots of things she won't like. Get use to it. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

WTF you need a rudder for?  :screwy:

Ray

Well they don't do jack unless your idling around or floating with the current so I'm told.......maybe he plans on breaking down and needs a steering rudder?

when did you purchase the titanic...?    :)

Yah right, I wish. It's my buddies boat, Went out to put it back together and bring it home. Fuel pump took a dump on the last trip he took. It will be up for sale soon. 75k Obo, 32ft tunnel hull w/ open deck, seats 14, pro charger set up on a 502 bbc backed by a bravo one. Pulled 90mph out of it yesterday and he wasn't running his "speed prop". It's a nice boat but its huge.

Hey it's not upside down!!!  Lol

SCJBM

Oh your so funny......lol ...I would never flip this thing. To damn big and heavy. I like my little green turd just fine.

I have used a flat head and gotten away with it. Just gotta be careful not to gouge or score it and leave little burrs that could potentially fall off and clog a jet

Don't deprive yourself, Brad. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/boa/3730802439.html
If I was going to be around so cal longer, I'd buy this just for the hell of it. Southwind made a good hull.

That thing look funny

« on: April 11, 2013, 12:46:33 PM »
Just bought a 21' bahner open bow, has a stock fresh 454 with stock jg pump with jetovator. How fast should it be? Old owner said only 55mph? What should I do to get 65-70 out of it?

I agree with everyone, not worth the amount of money for what you will gain. Leave it the hell alone and enjoy a mechanically reliable cruiser. Drop some coin on a longer bimi( open bows look awesome with a larger bimi and the people up front enjoy it) get 2 good batteries and a nice sound system. Buy some towables ( the 2 person sport inflatable ones are awesome, Own 2 myself) keep up on the maintenance, and enjoy it. Want something fast gonna have to buy something lighter and smaller and normally you don't go blasting around the lake wot.

Whos running a regulator off ther pump and what one do you recodmend workin on the boat today and wanted to get the plumbing done thanks for info

Well like everyone said its preference and my set up is a bit of a cluster to look at but it's what I want, I run a 4in length brass nipple off the pump with a ball valve(instant on/off oh sh!t valve) followed by a brass T with my pressure regulator set at 15-18psi (so i no blow hoses) and a gate valve to adjust my flow. My set up my peace of mind.

Lol I was just giving you a hard time. I'm to broke to even consider taking the boat out. Wife's maternity leave ran out and she quit her job before she went back. 1 income, 2 kids, a wife and house payment.......makes my back hurt thinking about it
