Weekend after next !!    where does the time go ??   Sorry Tom I wont be ready.   I got nothing done last weekend (drag boats at Ming), and will get nothing done next weekend (circle boats at Ming)     

 All those pics and only 4 jets !!!!   I think Marks slipping away guys  , maybe an intervention is called for before thing get out of hand  .

 I have thought about that a lot, and could never find an answer to that question  (I also have a boat with a YJ).  In my uneducated opinion , I think it would depend on how fast you want the boat to go.  If its a general use lake boat I think the Energizer kit will be fine, but if your trying to build a fast river racer type boat I think it would be better to change the whole thing.  In my opinion (and I may be wrong) the berk style intake and suction housing should do a better job of feeding the pump because it was designed to work with that style pump. Also the intake upgrade parts, loaders, shoe, rideplates, etc, are available everywhere for reasonable prices. 

 I don't think I've ever seen an Energized YJ with a shoe / rideplate.

 Maybe Tom or Josh (JBP) can give some actual real world info on this .

beerjet, do you have the timing cover/pointer and balancer from that motor ?   If its a reverse rotation motor the timing marks/numbers will be backwards from a standard motor, right guys ?   Might just have a reverse rotating cam grind  .

OK now I'm gonna need your advice. I have a 232*@.050 cam. How the hell can I get mine to idle that low?

 I went for a ride Sunday just to see what the lake looked like and was supprised to see there was no lake  .

 There is still some water in the main body of the lake but there are trees sticking up everywhere  .

 Chaz,  If I remember right you did your floor a while back , right ?   Same thing just more glass and no wood, just do both sides of the hull (outside and inside) or it will crack.  Mine still looks solid (no cracks) and Ralphs has taken more abuse than most boats ever see and is still holding up.

 Looks like your trying to tame a wild animal there Tom.   Its a race boat hull , it only needs to have 2 throttle settings (on and off), stop trying to turn it into a cruiser .
