We used to use'em before every trip to make sure they were running tits. Last thing I wanted to do at the river or lake was to wrench on em I don't quite remember where they were hooked up on my olde skis. I'll look later this afternoon on the newer ones and see where they are. Should be pretty much the same. Just an added FYI, shouldn't run it too long off the water, you can warp the head pretty easy.

Buy a water kit. Cheap, easy to install, basically just a hose with a hose end on it. Hook a garden hose on it and run it all day if ya wanted to.

I have a 96 Superjet, and my brother a 97 SJ. We both had the early 80's Kawi's also. Don't ever recall the prob you mention, but that don't mean squat. What do ya have and exactly what did ya do, or take apart? Give me some more clues, or jog my memory

Dunking it twice is real easy and fast, put it in , take it out, put it in and take it out. Easier then messing with a cover. And Ray don't get any ideas with what I just posted
