So I just dropped the boat an the motor off at the shop. The owner said he's going to do what ever it takes to make this thing perfect. So hopefully ill have a boat back in time to finally meet some of you guys in Blythe in September

So I went over to the shop to talk to the owner he tried to fight me a little on it until I showed him the pictures and he said bring me the boat and the motor and ill take care of it

130
Oh no, that is screwed! Good luck with the shop. I had something similar happen, the hospital left a shop rag (sponge) in my gut, all I got was another surgery and 5 days in a coma - hope you come out better than that.
[/quote that's funny you say that my moms a nurse and in the middle of my temper tantrum I was throw about the motor she was like shit happeneds doctors leave shit in people all the time

131
Ahah yeah I wash I wouldn't mind a 454

132
I took pictures of everything I have times dates I haven't moved the rag or the motor. I have the work write up that says what they did and the date on that. I've basically done everything I can do before I go talk to then witch is gonna happen around 1 today so ill keep you guys posted. And as for the Facebook thing I wouldn't do that it's not high school that's also why I haven't posted the name of the shop on here because it's a smaller local shop. And I totally under stand shit happeneds it's just a matter of how the shop handles them.

133
yeah i think they will stand by the work they have always takin care of me in the past and i have a good relationship with the owner that i hope it wont be issue. I tell you what though im gonna think twice before take my boat to the shop when its something im capable of doing. lesson 1 dont be a lazy ass  :banghead:

134
Yeah my dads best friend has had an auto shop for 35 yeah and said he has never seen or heard of that

135
Yeah don't get me wrong I'm beyond pissed but the bummer part to me is I've been taking my dads boat to these guys sense I was 10 and now I'm bringing my boat there and it just sucks that something like this happened but I've never had an issue with them so I'm hoping it gets taken care of and doesn't have to go to the next level

136
Thanks man I hope they are too because this this is for lack of a better term, fucked up

137
They were already closed when I found it today but I'm gonna go in there tomorrow with pictures and yeah I called  my girlfriends grandpa he's a Supreme Court judge he's knows some people that will help me out

on saturday i took the boat out to elsinore for the first time ever it ran grate for about 10 min long story short i shot a rod out of the oil pan whhen i got home i pulled the motor. first thing i took off was the oil pan and found my rod and a bunch of chunks of metal and what looked like red barf and it was everywhere inside the motor second i pulled off the intake manifold off where i found a red shop rag sitting in there. so when i took the boat to have it tuned up and the intake manifold gasket changed they forgot to take the rag out of there  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

139
Well it went from bad to worse I found a hole in the oil pan so I pulled the motor turns out it threw a rod

The gate valve was open none of the lines were pinched I also disconnected the hose from the gate valve and no water came out of there ether

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Epic fail possible bad water pump
« on: June 29, 2013, 10:58:04 AM »
So today took the boat out for the first time. And it ran great until I got to the far side of Elsinore and the water temp went up to about 220 so stopped and waited for it to cool down.  So i started going again the temp went back down to 160 and next thing I knew the motor cut out and smoke pumping out of the carb and the oil breather so after we got towed back in by a scjb member didn't get his name but thank you if you see this  but I pulled a hose off the exhaust manifold and there was no water in there so I'm thinking the water pump but not sure

i would totally you use that company but I can't afford the pot of gold payment plan when my luck runs out

Shit like I said I'm not very old but don't get me started on that. I think the only time I was aloud to pick up a video game was when I had a cast and couldn't be outside

I'm 20 now so I can't say I'm a grown up yet but when I was a kid my dad gave us 2 choices you could ski or hold the flag and there was never a wakeboard to be found in our camp. But now it's like pulling teeth to get people to go out with me because my boat doesn't put out a monster 3 foot wake. But I can honestly say my favorite memory was from last summer skiing behind my own boat with my old man pulling me
