What happens when you advance the timing on your Chevy running gasoline when the timing is advanced 50 degree's?

DETONATION!!!!

There is a lot of talk on here by people that dont know the situation on the motor he just sold.  It was a huge p.o.s. that the guy that built it lied to him about.  Nothing matched, bearings had some scarring on them, cast pistons(probably not balanced), the list goes on guys.  I really cant blame him for selling it and doing everything right for a change.

but Edlebrock carbs on a stock 454 is decent, correct?

The carb you have should work well with your engine.  Marcsrollin has a dual carb both 600cfm setup on a (if i remember correctly) mostly stock 460.  Its somewhat over carbed but runs well.

Thanks,   as of now, not any mods to my engine and I have been pleased with the edlebrock.. But, I said in another thread, I am almost ready to send my boat to TOm with a $20K check atteched telling him to do whatever he feels!!!!

THanks for the insight, I guess I was just wondering if I switched back to a holley, what would differece be.  and with what I am running, i dont think i woujld notice squat>

Well just remember this and I think I am quoting Ralph on this but "an engine is an air pump, the more you can get in and out and faster the better."  I also know that the more efficient you can get an engine to run the more HP potential it will have.

Your carb size is based on what mods are done to the engine.  I ran a holley 750cfm on basically stock engines and was good to go.

Wouldnt that be a "bigducer" lol :P

Is this a BBC or BBF?

Would it make a difference on the way its initial timing is set?

They still make them.  You have to be sure you get a reverse spin one though.  They even make a gear reduction one.

We need to choose to do the right thing by having someone else drive if we've had "to much" fun.

So what your saying is to get all sloppy and take the old jet boat for a cruise??? >:D

Thanks for re-saying that the Mustang is so run of the mill that almost any kid can buy a run of the mill mustang!

My point is proven your a focken tard.

i say who cares....the people makin the most noise here dont have running boats.  ;D

Narcotics like vicodens back you up pretty good.

Exactly, they're all about the same, don't care what magazines say cause they always say different shit on which one is better  ???  :banghead:

I MEAN PROVING THAT THE FORD IS FASTER ON A TRACK.  THE DODGE WAS OVER A SECOND SLOWER THAN THE OTHER TWO.  WHILE THE FORD WAS HALF A SECOND FASTER THAN THE CHEVY.

THANK YOU TONY FOR DRIVING MY POINT HOME WITH THE VIDEO!!! ;D

The GT is not a straight line drag car!  The GT has a lot smaller engine than the other 2.  The GT has better numbers on a track when put up against other exotic supercars.  The GT was built to be a Ferrari killer and it does.

I would say the GT is holding is own pretty fuking good here on a test done by road and track.

That picture is of a Z06, I dont know many kids who could get financed on 75k let alone when its optioned at almost $100,000. The Z06 is hanging door to door with the Dodge Viper and I have never seen a showroom mustang that wasnt aftermarket modified hang with a Viper or Z06!

I think when you were referring to the car that any kid can get financed on you were referring to the stang! talk about run of the mill! ;D

I know what the pic was! Lets take the new Mustang gt 500.  500hp.  The limited edition 427 z06 is 505hp with an actual msrp of 84k while the gt 500 is at 43k.  Even better is the 'stang is only a 5.4l and the vette is a 7l.  As far as the viper goes..... what a pos.  It takes dodge an 8l v-10 to get 600hp.  If I was a neutral minded car buyer, I would take the stang every time on the basis of it having almost the same amount of power as the limited edition zo6 at half the price.  Then again opinions are like assholes.  Everyone has one and they all stink.

Remember it's Ford GT..........not GT 40.

Either one is a vette spanker!

I would take this over a GT any day and I will still have $60,000 in my pocket!

On a side note:

...the full planned lot of 4500 were not produced. Approximately 550 were built in 2004, nearly 1900 in 2005, and just over 1600 in 2006, for a grand total of 4038; however, the final 11 car bodies manufactured by Mayflower Vehicle Systems were disassembled and the frames and body panels sold as service parts.

1. Ford Didnt even make the cars
2. Couldnt even sell em all!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

So i guess you and everyone else could drive a vette.  not nearly the performace of a gt but hey whose keeping track right!  i dont know about you but i dont want to drive what just about any kid out of high school could get financed for!  What is really sad is that a lot of ford dealerships have mustangs sitting on thier lots that could hang with a vette.  Now thats mighty impressive sounding for chevy!

I cant find the place right now but I will keep looking for ya.  As far as measuring all you have to do is determine the length of the area that you want covered as well as the width and how tall ya want it.  Measure it from where you would mount it.
