re, the rusty piece of metal .  Is it maybe a piece of the baffle in the valve cover ?

Propless I dig the eggbeater pickle fork. Does it haul ass?

Yea, Ive had it up to 75 mph (speedo, no gps that day) and it was very smooth and stable  ;D .

OK, Yea it was on the trailer at the time  ;), It runs (most of the time) but has no prop or seats  ;D

The No Wake Zone / Re: Pine Flats??
« on: September 01, 2008, 11:46:56 PM »
Pine Flat is very low on water  :( .  Still usable but be careful if you try to head up river (watch for trees  :screwy: ) .  Lake lice are not to bad there.  I have run there a few times uncorked but it really depends on the rangers mood  :-\ .  Speed is not usually an issue as long as your not being stupid, although I have seen a ranger camped out on the shore of Millerton (up river) with a canopy, a radio, and a radar gun  >:( .

Helpful hint = most of the lakes around here loose there ranger boats soon after Labor Day, so just be cool in sight of the ramps  ;D.  Not sure about Pine Flat , but most likely they loose there boat too.

I thought I saw Propless turn onto the road to the lake as I was heading out,

Maybe by then Propless will have the Eliminator done and he could head south?

Yea that was me Skip ,  late as usual  ::) , but I didn't get lost  ;D (well not really).  Ill be glad to bring my little boat down (if its done) for the next trip .

Everyone was packing up and heading out by the time I got there but I still got to hang for a while with GT, flytime, Hondo Hall, and Tom / Rhonda, and got a ride from Tom in the V-drive cruiser (very comfy).  I'm heading out to the garage now, back to work on the project.
See you guys next time  ;D

Well it looks like poor old Tom ( JBP ) has a problem that maybe we can help solve .

He has to many boats and cant make up his mind witch on to take to Lake San Antonio this weekend  :screwy: .    Here's a list of some of his armada , lets vote and see if we can help him make a decision .  Not sure if all of these are still in the armada so maybe you can update the list Tom  ::).

The choices , that I know of  :sly:

After reading about a few members hooking up there steering backwards (no names to protect the innocent  ::)) I went out and looked at the distructions for mine ,  yes its already mounted http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=3365.msg67952#msg67952  , and no i didnt look at the distructions before .   Its a good thing I didn't look at them before !!!  The instructions show to drill the 3 mounting holes for the helm UPSIDEDOWN  :screwy: :screwy: .   Mine is right , I hooked up the cable to be sure.  ;D
The instructions must be for boats with right side steering  ??? ???

Oh btw ,  The boat killed another power tool today,  that makes 3 !!  One belt sander, one jig saw, and now one drill .  I was drilling the holes for the gauges (strange smell filling the air  :-\ ) when all of a sudden smoke starts pouring out of the drill  :-\.  It started going slower and slower but my dumb a## just sits there looking at it and pulling the trigger over and over until a huge ball of sparks came shooting out of it  :o !!  At which point I threw it across the garage  ::)  I showed it who's the boss   >:D .

Here's some more progress pics  ;D  I got sick of the mess in there so first I cleaned up the metal shavings  :-[ than went to work  ;D

Dash panel made, gauge holes cut, and helm mounted .   Tom, I love my deck mount tach !!!

Ride plate is mounted and the brackets for the turnbuckles are made.  Still need to get some angle to brace the plate.

The seats and diverter handle are also mounted now.  The pass seat sucks (build very crooked) , looks like I need to get in touch with Skip (Luckystiff) this winter for some new seats.   :banghead: More money in this thing.

I think I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel  :-\ ,  and its the bright glow of the mighty BBF getting ready to kick some Chevy ### 2sav / bahner boy (or whatever your calling yourself today) !!!!  >:D
