X2; Motorhome, Truck, Car, Dune buggy, jetboat, daycruiser, work truck, three boat trailers, motorcycle trailer, and looking for a Dual sport motorcycle :screwy:

I got 4 boats, one truck, one car, and one motorcycle.  But that Tahiti is different ,        it runs  >:(

Besides that Tahiti is not ugly enough to live here :o

Are you sure about that ?   Its got a clean motor (under that dirt, somewhere) that sounds mean (translation = he runs it on the trailer with no water, all the time)  and its pretty fast too  (I wont even go there)  :sly: ;D

Once again , I have to agree with GT.   These boats have survived a long time without these things. Why spend money to fix something that's not broken, save your money there will be lots of other thing to spend it on soon  ;) .

Oh and welcome to the site  ;D

WTB / Re: looking for 1350 drive shaft
« on: August 19, 2008, 11:51:05 PM »
Beav, did the boat have a 1350 shaft in there before ?
There are two standard shafts used , the 1310 and the 1350, plus a few odd ball ones.  The standard 1350 is about an inch longer than a 1310, if I remember right.  So, if your trying to upgrade you might need to move the motor forward.

Give Tom or Josh a call (JBP 805-446-4719) they can explain it better and should have what you need in stock.

  :(  That was a secret   :(

Thanks Tom, I was really happy / surprised when Rhonda said they still make new ones.   No "old skool" project would be complete without a deck mounted tach  ;D ;D

Yea they always make it look so easy,  just bolt this there and do that and walla a perfect boat  :banghead: :banghead: .   I know mine aint that way  .   Of course it might have something to do with the fact that I don't know what I'm doing  :sly:  ;D

 A little more progress   ;D .

The pump brace / drive shaft hoop is mounted (what a bit## !!!), but it fits perfect.   Now I can tension the alt belt without pulling the pump to one side  :o :o

Brackets for the batt and the diverter handle are done and mounted.  Excuse the mess, it was late  :-[

We also made the mounts for the ride plate adjusters today. So that's all ready to go together, I just need to get some bolts for it (pics to come).  Only things left are to mount the seats , finish the ride plate, and cut the dash for the steering / gauges.  Than pull it back apart, finish the floors and put it all back together again  :banghead: :banghead: .   Its getting there  ;D ;D

Jeff were bummed !! what can we do to help you get there ??

Jeff,
Who cares if your boat is done or not. Just come up and hang out. There will be plenty of other boats around to play with. See you in a couple weeks ;).

Jeff--say it isn't so. Don't worry about the boat--I've got plenty of room. Hey, I've even got an extra boat you could tow over if you want. You know you want to come--Give me a call.
Mark--"Sanger Pete"
(559) 917-1785

  ;D ;D Thanks guys,
Its not a matter of parts, I have 99.9% of what I need, now its just time.  I was out looking at it last night and I know I could have it on the water in time, but it wouldn't be something I would be proud to own ( not going to happen !!! ) .  I still need to finish the rest of the mock-up/fab work than strip the whole boat down to nothing again to do the final finish on the floors ( I didn't do it before because I didn't want to be walking around on metal shavings on the fresh shinny floor) And than reassemble it ( all polished and pretty  ;D ).
I will probably just shoot over for the day, it wont take long to get there on the bike as long as I stay away from the man

OK, you guys want to see Retro, here's a pic Brian sent me of my Eliminator in its original colors .  I thought it would be cool someday to restore it back to the original colors,  until I saw the pics  :'( :'(

If someone from JBP brings the project PT boat http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=4205.msg60305#msg60305 .  I don't think we'll need an advanced team. 15 boats led by project PT and we should be able to take and hold any beach we want !!  >:D >:D   Hey Tom,  did you get the potato gun turret mounted on there yet ?

Jet Pumps / Re: Pump Setback and Ride Plate
« on: August 11, 2008, 12:19:25 AM »
Actually, I have parts that need to be installed  :-[ . Billy/Ironman dragged me off the couch today at about noon  ::) and we (meaning he) made my pump brace today, it was my job to install it tonight  ;) .  Oh well I'll get it done tomorrow night.  The learning is just as important, having all the right parts don't mean s### without the knowledge to make them work right !!   ;D

Yes, this one's the keeper. (The Rayson Craft has been into a partnership with one of my good friends and hotrod/chopper fabricator, we're going to tear into after Labor Day)  78 Hallett 19', 468 BBC (520HP), fresh Cyclone Marine Berk pump, diverter, OG gel still intact, nice interior. Not going to change a thing, just gonna enjoy it.

Yea right  ::) ::) .  How many people believe that last sentence  :screwy:   >:D .

Very nice find Skip, cant wait to see it on the water.   ;D ;D

;D ;D  I didn't get a thing done on my boat tonight but, I be learnin stuff  ;D (just as good or better !!).

BTW GT,  Thanks for sharing your knowledge here !!!  This kind of (hard learned) info is not easy to find and can really help a lot come set up time (understanding the basics)  .  Most people wouldn't take the time to explain it like this, thay just say do it this way because thats how to do it.  Thank you !     ;D ;D ;D
