the blue is Mystic Blue Metallic urathane basecoat a premixed color they sell i used pure solid base on the lower white and used the pearl under the metallic to make it pop. Have used pearl white on hulls before but dont like the way it sometimes looks

finally some real progress today three coats of pure solid color base white on the lower part of the hull 3 coats of pearl white on the upper part of the hull then 3 more coats of Mettalic blue on the upper part of the hull. i was also going to put on 2 coats of interclear on top of that today but due to low shop temp and med 70 degree reducer Ill save that till morning ,want to make sure all the solvent has evaporated to avoid problems down the road, still within 24 hours. i absolutly love the Kustom Shop paint from TCP Gobal in SanDiego. It cost me about half of what PPG is and sprays like a dream. Only ran into a couple of problems , even afterwashing 4 times and wiping with grease and wax remover then using a tack cloth I still got a bunch of fisheyes in the base white on the transom. i even had fisheye remover in the paint. but I just waited a few minutes and sanded them out retacked and sprayed with no further problems . Heres a few pics but I didnt discover till part way thru that i had no card in the camera. Next start laying out the graphics and painting them on

well after about 150 hours of block sanding 2 coats of urethane primer 1 coat of urethane sealer I am finally ready to start on color. Tomorrow some Pearl white then Metallic blue then interclear. Then start on the graphics. So glad the sanding is done for now

I hope this is not a dumb question but when you guys insure a boat do you insure the boat against damage or is it liability in case of accident ? I have owned various runabout ski boat for the past 30 years and have never had insuance but now with the jet i want liability dont really care about anything else
