Is marine grade plywood the best thing to use on floor replacement or is there something better?

Yup, thats the best way to go bud! make sure you resin it on both sides too keep the water out.

I've driven a few. I don't like it because it's too much to do with the down peddle and lock out.
Plus no backwards gear. Idk, it's cool if your into that sort of thing 😲🚤💨💨💨👍👍👍👎👎👎

When I had a manual diverter I just had it bolted to the stringer. Used nice stringer washers and nylocks for the other side

I agree with jake to much flex and movement on a boat plus I'd get ahold of jack at mpd if you plan on putting some decent hp to this there great boats but have issues on shit down if you don't drive em thru the back door. He can sell you or instal a set of pods that will help the boat out jmo

Sent from my iPhone using SoCalJetBoats mobile app
Yeah I have agree here. It's just my opinion but, you couldn't pay me to drive a cp or Texas tunnel. Some of the most dangerous boats ever built. Every person I know that has owned one has been tossed out of them. With that being said.
Get with jack at MPD and get the pods on there and a jet-a-way/ pop off if you plan on putting a good amount of hp.

The "shit"down that Justin mentioned hahaha

i personally haven't but my cousins build a lot of boats and that's what they told me to do. I just asked him and he said it lasts for a pretty long time. This is what I used. But gloss black.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
Not to be a downer, but that stuff will never last. i had it in my first boat and it all chipped and got messed up in 3 trips. skuff it up well and put a clear coat over it and it will last a bit longer.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Carb size
« on: April 25, 2014, 06:14:41 PM »
Ok here is the deal. I have been trying to get my boat to idle and this thing is kicking my a$$... I have an olds 455 with edelbrock aluminum heads and a dual quad offy tunnel ram. Running two edelbrock 600 carbs. Am I under carburated? This engine is running about 9.5-1 compression.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCalJetBoats mobile app
How does it run? anything wrong? if not leave it alone. 1200cfm for a 455 is fine i would think.

Yeager and GT what's your input on vr1?

Jwedmore, there are a lot of additives, I spent time researching and heard nothing but good on the redline and Lucas

I just bought 40 weight Mobil 1 any body was going for 30 weight but they had none and a napa gold filter anybody see a problem with using 40 weight   What are all you. Using

Sent from my iPad using SoCalJetBoats

I use lucas oil 20-50 or redline 20-50 because of the zinc contents. most conventional oils dont have much in there.  I use baldwin filter or wix racing filters. either way you should be just fine going from 30 to 40. ive always ran 20-50 in every boat motor ive ever owned.

I have a 14' 10' little fishing boat with a 6hp outboard {whacker} What are the rules in Cali for what you do or don't have to register? The guy I got it from didn't have a pink for the boat but did for the trailer. It has CF numbers on one side, not to great looking tho. I'm thinking, because it had 2 numbers on the inside that it mustve been a rental boat at one time. Anyone ???

does it have a vin number on the back ?
