Man what a trip this is. Started feeling crummy Monday night, come Tuesday afternoon it was in full force. Got home from work Tuesday at 4pm took a shower and knocked out. Just woke up about 430. Slept damn near 24 hours straight. Sore as hell, coughing so much my teeth hurt, never thought that was possible.

If she were my blood there would of been a whooping. But there are lines I cant cross. So after she slammed the door in my face I took it off the hinges and shut the power off to her room. No tv no light and good night. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure when I wake her up at 430 to clean her room.

To be honest man I don't think it would be worth it. shipping would be near 100 I would assume then the repairs to the 2 screwdriver holes would be up there as well if you dont know how to weld aluminum but ill look into shipping

Yup yesterday was a good day at perris even though I almost sunk my boat. 78 degrees, no wind and the lake was glass. Just myself and a few fishing boats

you didn't say the year and I can't see the tail lights  :screwy: in the early 80's I purchased a 1970 Chevelle Malibu for 1300 hundred bucks / 2-door, royal blue body, white roof, 250ci in-line 6cyl. / bench seat grandma's grocery getter and built-proof. drove it to near death and sold it to a biker and am still here to tell about it...lol

Its a 72 malibu

From the looks of the picture the arm on the fwd/rev lever just needs to be rotated 180. If its the style I think it is its a square hole so it should only take 15 mins at most from grabbing tools to putting em away. And from what I gather that sleeve serves as a guide.

Got it when I was 14 as a roller, was a birthday gift from my old man. Finished the drivetrain when I was 17 and started driving it junior year in hs. 700 horse bbc 496 backed by a th400 and a limited slip 3.55 12 bolt rear end. And surprisingly never got a ticket in it.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Best reliability mods to do?
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:49:02 AM »
The best reliability mod imo is maintenance. If your not trying to break water speed records every trip and keep up on fluid changes and replace hoses as needed you should be fine. The only thing I could recommend is run a fuel/water separator.

Ill see if the wife will let me out. Goin to the ama event in Anaheim sat so I might of used my get outta jail pass for the weekend.

Edit:

Well got the ok but she pointed out that my tires are shot on the trailer and my funds are tied up elsewhere so I don't think im gonna brave that drive. I would be able to make it to perris though.

I personally think trucks in general these days are going beyond what they need to be but at the same time you gotta remember that manufactures are trying to sell trucks in a market that most people don't need em. So essentially they are trying to sell trucks in a car market and seem to be successful at it. That guy that drives a honda civic because its practical can now buy a truck that's just as practical and economic but now has a truck. Just the way it goes.

But as for myself I will continue to drive my 84 k5 blazer and my 99 f250 7.3 powerstroke. Why? Because I love the fact that my k5 will go anywhere I need it to not worrying about a scratch or dent and I can do all the repairs myself with no computer needed for diagnostics. And my f250 which is the xlt power everything and cloth seats and carpeted floors is nice because I can put the family in it comfortably and at the same time tow anything I want throw anything in the bed I want and not give a dam. And my favorite, the loud obnoxious clacking from the 7.3 diesel that is so loud on the highway that it could drown out the noise of bickering kids and a nagging wife.........man I love my truck.
