We just have always plugged are on the race car so just have done this on all my cabs is just a personal preference!!

If it ran lean after the problem started, you might have wiskered a plug, causing a miss/rough idle.also if running a power valve in your carb after sneezing threw the cab that will now be junk!!!

People think epoxy works with polyester due to it feels and looks like it bond but it doesn't and some say they been doing it for years don't mean it's right they both cure different and if get one part that comes loose you can pull off all the stuff you put over the polyester. My father has been building molds and race car bodies and putting recked up car back together for over 30 years!But everyone has different out looks on this subject good luck on project!!
