So 30 over would be a real safe number and allow more power and torque. Plus it would be a little easier on the wallet

Yeah now I'm even more confused, I have a torker intake but from what I hear/read olds are low end motors. If the 455 doesn't like to run at high rpms wouldn't a dual plane intake give me more useable power since I'd be around 3-4k most of the time?

Is there a plug at the front of your stingers? Should be centered, pull it and you back plug then jack the boat up should drain a ton

Same applies if you have a floor like GT said. If it hasn't been drained you could have water doing the same as my fuel theory.

It's the tanks, the front seats are past center point of the boat. So on deceleration all the fule rushes forward causing the bow to dip. It's kind I like a see-saw the slower you go up on one side the slower you go down. So under deceleration at high speed the gas rushes forward causing more g forces towards the bow.

So looking for some input and options for fixing or replacing my crank. I didn't brink it home with me now kicking myself for not. Can you have a damaged crank fixed and is it okay or will it be an issue after awhile?
Since the block is already set up for the old crank would having it fixed the smarter thing to do or just get the same one new?
What are some pluses of going new? Stronger more power?
If I go new I will have to have the block machined to the new crank correct?

I remember shasta when it was above the tree lines in the late 80s and 90s. Miss that place and fire works in the delta

Crank has a nearly 1/8th inch split on one section and groves all over it. One piston left side 3rd has massive dent.
The piston rod bearings had no oil holes in them so gonna research the differences between the two with and with out holes
Block looks great new crank and piston are soon to be ordered
