Since Bebo has finally had a free moment from school, wrestling and scouts... we finally got the the intake intstalled today. We are getting really close and he is getting pretty psyched.  We will be taking care of a few misc. items and then should be trying to install the engine. I doubt we will have it ready for the TPM, but we might make it out there just for the show. I am just looking forward to being able to say "We did it!" . And have a beer of course!

Whats the deal with the Fram Filters? ??? I have run those on my work trucks without a problem. Are they known for leaking? Are they just a crappy filter?

Welcome and good luck with the project. Glad to see you toughed it out and kept it. Too many of those "I wish I had never sold it" stories.

GT's right. But if I read it correctly it does not sound like the flange from the floor came loose, only the wax adapter. A couple tips I can give you are; when you buy a new wax ring buy the one that comes with new bolts.  Secondly, when you put the new bolts on, run a nut down them to hold them in place on the flange. Makes it a lot easier to get the toilet on.  ;)

Talked to Boost a little while ago who also gave me the name of another local guy to get the hardware as opposed to ordering from Jegs/Summit. Thanks for all the info guys.

I am going to price out the stainless on Summit/Jegs etc. Unless they are way too much I will probably go that route. Thanks for all the input guys. Keeps me from all the rookie mistakes.

10-4. What I am trying to do is get this thing up and running and then fine tune the importand stuff. I bought the ARP head bolt kit (non stainless) cuz I did not want to have to replace them later, but I thought the intake is a little less critical to replace after the fact. No doubt stainless is the way to give given my choices. But if I can get him running and on the water with standard bolts I think I will and change them out later.

Thanks for the input guys.

Not to stir a pot, but are you saying that I should not use "regular" bolts? I don't want to screw something up over a few bucks.
