I wouldnt put my jet in that water, the hydrilla is insane, the toollies are everywhere, the prop on the duck boat gets all wrapped up in there. and when the water is down it stinks because there is no water flow in there... look into golden shores we love it its a little bit of a drive to either topock or park moabi but worth it.  that or willow valley.

Thanks for the heads up. Probly why the deal is so good. We will pass and keep looking.

Thanks, Looking at a trailer there for sale. Not sure if it's a decent deal, or put somemore money together for another area.  I'll try to check it out next weekend.  I figured that someone here might know about the place.

This trailer park is about 4 miles from Topock Marina. Looks like it is on that body of water Northeast of the Marina. Does anyone know or have any info. about this place? Can you launch from there and be able to get out to the main river? Any services nearby? Food or gas?

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: NEW CARB
« on: September 14, 2009, 10:28:47 PM »
i am about to purchase a new card.  I currently have a 750 edelbrock. ???  since buying it about 2 years ago i have had NO issues what-so-ever with it.,,,it just looks like shit now.  I am thinking about a QuickFuel or ProForm.   My engine is a very mildly built 454 and very reliable.  Should i stick to Edelbrock (endurashine) or change?  I have heard that the 2 that i am looking take more "tuning"....or maybe intial tuning?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

THANKS

You can send me that old, ugly carb. I have a spot for it. PM me if your interested in making a deal.

for wrenching on the commander. Had some fuel delivery problems the last couple of times out. Too much fuel then not enough. Yes, a simple fix when you have the time, I've been busier than a one legged man in a arse kicking contest. Skip stepped up and installed a new regulator, guage and plumbing, took it for a test and tune ride, made some adjustments. 100% improvement. We all did the lake on Saturday, not one problem, other than burning a couple of burgers.
Just want to say thanks and that this site is pretty damn awesome, looking forward to the next float.

Gil-

I'm going to the lake with Dookie to dial your boat in, or at least drink a bunch of beer trying! I'm thinking you're in the market for a bigger carb........

Thanks Skip,

This 14 hour a day, 7 day a week job leaves me no time for anything. I'll try to meet you guys at my place, give me a call about a half hour before.
I owe you big time

Hey Gil-

Did you ever get your carbonator figured out?

That is a big negatory. Between remodeling two bathrooms at the same time and working 7 days a week, I don't have any time. Was just out there looking at it. I need to put it in Ming and tinker with it. It can't be a major deal, just some fine tuning with the floats and install the needle and seats. Hopefully.  I hate being stranded on the water. We should be heading to Laughlin. next weekend. Some kind of float thing,Regatta thing, drinking thing. Pirate cove bar on Friday, float on saturday ending at Lazy Harrys .  Staying at River Palms. Looking for a place to buy on Sunday.
