I was looking at one of the $30.00 buffers at Costco the other day.  Was kind of afraid of what i'd get for $30.00  :-\

They would work great for the carnuaba because you dont have to put as much effort into it as you do the cutting compound.

What kind of buffer did you buy?   ???

One from autozone that spins at 1600 or 1800 rpm.  I tried to use it with the cutting compound and didnt like the results that much.  Probably would have worked well with the other steps i did but hey who wants to mess around and do a big tuna clipper twice!

All by hand because the brand new buffer I bought didnt stand up to my approval and hurt my wrist with pins and screws in it pretty bad from the vibration.  The white marks on the blue strip on the front of the bow are holes for the big metal thing that sits up there and not bad parts of the gel.

Ok, here is what my tuna clipper looks like after a plethera of work to the gel.  These are the steps that I did in order:

wet sand 1000 grit
wet sand 2000 grit

2 applications of Meguiers cutting compound
1 application of Meguiers wax prep compound
1 application of Turtle brand scratch and swirl remover
1 application of Meguiers carnuaba wax followed by 2 wiped downs with 100% cotton microfiber towels.

ENJOY!!!   I thought my boat was a lost cause as far as the gel was concerned, but now I am very impressed with the way this turned out.

Im waiting for my interview with Union Pacific. I think im gonna go to a truck driving school to get my class A. Ive been out of work for almost 2 months now.

You would end up starving to death working for the UP.  They really cut back on what they pay employees.  Instead of getting paid for the mile they just pay a set rate no matter how many miles you run.  Now if your applying for a machinist or electrician then I would say go for.

Rhino line the inside.  You could just hose it down when it gets dirty.
