WTB / Re: WTB BBF OT Headers and Manual Place Diverter for 12JC
« on: October 08, 2010, 09:07:13 AM »
I have 2 sets of headers. Bassett and Rewarder.  If I get time I'll get pics up of 'em, but they're both clean. The Rewarders were Moo's and the Bassetts Nordie had for awhile. Both clean up REAL nice!

Well HD, as long as your just asking for one of the necessitys of life (food, shelter, blower motor), consider the check in the mail.  ;D

We'll discuss this, but Proppys just about got it right!  ;)

You couldnt be more wrong ray...that there is a liberty/hawaiian/hornet bottom...nice boat....

You're right! The outer strakes are a lot more like a hornet than mine.

Almost sinking yourself by simply turning is a bit exciting isn't it?  :screwy:

VERY sweet! Looks remarkeably similar , if not identical, to my Pickle on the bottom, a 20' Sleekcraft whatever it is (Still un-ID'D), but a top almost Biesemeyer-ish maybe, although shares some Sleek lines. Good Score!

The low freeboard you're going to encounter (The splash guard will help SOMEWHat), just be careful! You can lift or stall, or as I have done, make a fast sharp turn by lifting, turning, and landing on it again only to nearly sink myself. Learned real quick why that boat has 2 bilge pumps............ >:D

Full stringer? Regardless, should be one runnin' SOB!

Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / Re: BBF 460 BDS Blower Manifold
« on: October 05, 2010, 10:00:23 PM »
Here's the closer pics of the manifold I scored. Should outline the differences. This is a standard BDS BBF blower manifold, nowhere near as slick, strong, or low profile, as Fantasy's. Had he lowered the price on me that much a couple months ago, it'd be MINE instead of this one!!! It is a sweeter deal, and add an intercooler on top of his...........

That last pic shows the peaked floor that eliminates puddling of fuel when operating at idle or part throttle. Fantasy's manifold has this feature as well.

Show me even one Chebbie blower manifold with this feature and ask HDRider what it means.........(Stuck on a lake with a blown seal off the pop-off valve due to a backfire when lifting)

I brought a motor last time that Rivertard refused to use, want me to bring another one and the cherry picker again?

Provided I can make it.  Motor can be changed in the parking lot though! Been done before, and enough help to make it a couple hour deal......... :screwy:

I've spotted a few Rangers for sale, never got the opportunity to really check one out though. Ones I've seen all seem to be Sleek splashes or using old Sleek molds. As far as the layup, I'd have no idea. I know the Sleeks are layed up very well, it would stand to reason even a reputable 'Bass boat" company that thought enough, and invested enough, to copy from, or use molds of tried and true formulas, they would have laid them up well.

Good luck with it!

I don't think you were asking too much, I just managed to score an incredible (and really weird, unforseen) deal in the midst of all this! Limited audience? well, that MAY be the case.

BBF fans, THIS is THE manifold if you want max performance from a blower, particularly with A460 heads. BDS doesn't even make it anymore, let alone polished, but it's their "race" version of what they make today, which is completely diffferent and I'll post pics of why the difference this week.

If the drive, steering and brackets/pulleys, and shafts, etc are all in place, WTF is there to think about? Get it before Mouzer does.......

Never heard of "Grand Theft Boat" before, but that looks like a great starting point for a charge like that!

Apparently in 1872, the Arabs were a bunch of goat f*ckers...  ;D

Then later, in 1873, the British settled for ugly women, and screwed them with goat parts on their "bangers"... ;)

GT

LOL! Ain't it so though? I mean, the cream of the crop from the British are, what, Kiera Knightley and Elizabeth Hurley? I see more than that 10 times over just those two in a few hours around town here, Vegas or in SoCal..............  ;D

But yeah, were I an Arab, I'd take my chances with the goat. At least you can see it's face.............................

Aside from misc. fittings I need a basset Tee and a tiny 1 wire alternator. That should put me in the water... well also a nozzle and tiller arm but I was promised that those will be in the mail today... again.

Run over to Terry's, or ask Brad if he still has it. I got a T-valve sitting somewhere in Vegas.....  :screwy:  Yours to have, just replace it someday. Ask Brad if he still has the alt I loaned him and if he replaced it or not. Should be just what you need! Same deal.

Between Terry, Brad and Nordie, any fitting you need should be in a box somewhere. I got a ton here I can send, but dunno specifically what you need.  Get this thing done already would ya?
