 First run off the trailer was 52.9mph and 5100 rpm  , I think I own the worlds slowest jet boat  .  I started looking around to see WTF was wrong because I know this motor will turn way more than 5100 !!  Well I found out the secondarys were not opening (vac sec) so I rigged up a bolt in the linkage to get them to open  , and tried again.  results, 53.8 at 5500  . OK, now Im getting mad  !!  So off come the baffles and the small flame arrestor fell off and went under the seat.  Time to let the beast breath !!   I'll get this mother ####### thing over 54 mph if it kills me !!  .  btw, crescent wrenches dont float  .
 FINAL RUN , 54.2 mph at, well, see the pics for rpm  .  I think its verry obvious this pump is junk and was never intended to do what I want it to do.  As a side note 3000 rpm was 35.2 mph.

 Well I did a few things to it after work, new ignition switch, charged the batt, set the timeing where the motor likes it, and adjusted the throttle cable so I can have full throttle again. The timeing was backed way off and the throttle has been set not to allow full throttle after destroying two thrust bearings in the pump in two months a few years back  .   So, off to the lake in the morning to see what kind of damage I can do  . 

Hawaiian to a Tahiti, like going from a shit sandwich to a vomit shake (I worked at both shops, so I can rag on them all day long,
And I'm sticking to my 59. 

  So, I guess mine (Lancer) is a copy of a vomit shake, that might explain that smell from under the old floor  .

 Does the one you just got have an actual splash well or is it a big hole covered with that pad ?   It realy seams like thay did some strange things back then.  The Tahiti I picked up a while back (for parts) has that realy long section of hull behind the motor, (I think whoever thought of that idea was an IDIOT !!!) and it was a PITA to get that pump out  .  I was suprised no one had cut a hole in that hull to get access to the pump, battery, exhaust, etc

 Yes !!! The Grand Poobah took the  NJ trophy !!!   He made every race, no breakouts, no dnf 's, and collected the points. 

 And Ralph KICKED ASS in CJ, leaving a parking lot full of broken Chevys in his wake (silly Chevy boys trying to take on a MIGHTY BBF   ).

 Ok, I had a little spare time on my hands and thought I should do something usefull  , so I decided to make this UGLY old jc bowl look a little better before the pump goes to JBP for a bit of freshening  .

 Before (nasty)


 Took some 80 grit on the sander and striped the old layers of paint/whatever off of it and smoothed out the shape of the bowl.  It had some nasty flat spots and other problems that would not have looked good polished.


 Then once the shape was right I started working my way up to finer and finer sand paper. I forget what grit this was but I worked my way all the way up to 1500 wet


 First polish  .  This is how it will stay until its back from Tom / Josh and in a boat, than I'll do any touch ups needed and finish polish it.

Propless, can you get him a price qoute and the part or... "06 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. Has the Infinity stereo", which Alpine do you have UNDONE? 

I'll check on it when I get to work.  We might have it in stock.

I can program it and get it all together no prob... I just need the part.

  Does your Alpine have a remote ? If not it wont work. You need the remote to program the adapter.

  Check whatever adapter you find to be sure it will work with your deck.  Some remotes have different frequencys and wont work.  The instructions always have a list of decks that are incompatible.

  Does your truck have a center console ?  The adapter has a small transmiter eye that will need to be mounted somewere and aimed at the deck. If not, sometimes you can get lucky and find the perfect place to bounce the signal around enough for the deck to get it (most of the time  ).

  This is just my own experience with the Peripheral brand adapters we sell and others may be different, but IMO duct tape a stick to you finger if you cant reach the deck, or use the Alpine remote .
