2sav, that looks like an outboard set.  It has a trim gauge and no oil pres or fuel gauge.   Do you need a speedo ?  If not Tom has new sets of the Beede gauges in his parts catalog, cheaper than that set.  And thay dont say Advantage on them.  Remember you will have to add the price of oil press and fuel gauge to the Ebay set too. http://www.jetboatperformance.com/index.php?p=gauges

Here Rod , just for you  ;)  ;D

???  I've seen wiring kits for removeable winches in the off road industry, where you put the winch into a trailer hitch receiver, they use fairly large gauge wire.  ???

Good idea,  We used one like that to charge the batt in one of the old race car trailers.  Something like this http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_745959_-1_10715 .  I connected it direct to the trucks batt through a high curent relay, so we could shut off power to the connector when not in use.

I just came from working on the engine.. I need to make a bracket to mount up the GM alternator.

Would you like me to send you a Ford starter, than you can have parts from all the big three  :screwy:  ;D

Dammm, that Miller looks nice !!!

It might work , but it would be a little messy.  Two jumpers from the trailers harness to the boat (12v+ and ground), and I would put an auto reset circut breaker at the source of the power in the vehicle, maybe 10 amp max so you dont overload the small gauge wiring or the trailer conector.

Stop thinking so much and get back to work  :o  that boats not going to finish itself  ;D

Jet Pumps / Re: impeller suggestions
« on: February 17, 2008, 08:26:26 PM »
Is it because Im not making enough power for the b impeller? I was always told a impeller is like gear for a car, a A impeller is only going to go so fast and if you motor will pull a B impeller it will out run a A? ???

trmn8ter,  first off welcome to the site  ;D

Next.  It has more to do with what rpm your motor makes its power at.  You should send your dyno sheet to someone that can look it over and match up an impeller for you.  If your motor made 600 hp at 5500 rpm it might need an AA impeller , 600 hp at 7000 rpm might need a C/D.  But there are other things to consider as well that are best left up to the pros ( loader, set up, etc, etc, etc ) .

As beerjet said, try here .  http://www.jetboatperformance.com/index.php?p=main  Good people  ;D
