First off, what a weekend! Hit the river about 3 or so Friday, burned some fuel, killed some beers, a good time and a preview of the weekend to come. I was stoked to see 15 boats there on Saturday, Glass Beach looked like a scene from the 70's/80's. The $250 worth of fireworks on Sat night, and the ensuing burns to the fingertips was a blast. The Sunday run to Park Moabi was one of the best times I've had in a long time. Great to meet those that I just met this weekend (props to 461 Bahner for the marathon drive), great to see those that I don't see often enough. Here's some random pics.

Lazy Harry's Saturday Afternoon

Love this picture. Thats classic American Jet Boat life style right there! Looks like an ad in a magazine or something.

nope they just ask where the last place you launched your boat at and you just tell them here last weekend and your off and no inspectio when you leave only piru is doing hardcore inspections

All the ranger does is look to see if there is any water in the bilge area. Shit I show up with out my baffles and all they say is are you going to put your baffles in today? I say yes and Im off! Really laid back. Its usually some chick working they're all real cool. Its really not that bad and I wouldn't call it 'hardcore inspection'.
Now Lake Casitas does hardcore inspection....10 quarentine (sp?) then they will let you on they're water!

Friday after work   >:(
Tried to get Friday off...to much work right now...aint gonna happen. Have to be in Death Valley tomorrow, then work in Palmdale for Friday...might just tow the boat out there to the job site and leave from there, saves me from driving back to Ventura to get the boat!

No can do...my little work truck cant pull my boat.
Besides when I buy a new boat like this I like to spend some quality time with it first before someone starts chiming in with there opinions. NOT saying everyone is like that, just thats how I am.
Looks like this weekend will be the first outing.

I saw that one, I am looking for something less motor. but that is a good deal, How do you like yours?

I literally came home with the boat Saturday morning at 8am. Crashed out for 2 hrs. Woke up and had to drive down to the 710 freeway where I've been all weekend long. Working all this coming week in Bakersfield (which means Im staying out there). My work schedule is really crazy right now. Im working pretty much every weekend untill October (but I have Labor day and 4 days after off!) and all my usual work during the week. I want to complain but I really cant right now...I just keep telling myself that it will pay off down the road.
So I have this coming weekend off. This weekend will be the first outing. Nowhere special, keeping it local, want to take my time and check and go through everything before I start ripping it up.
This winter I plan to take everything out and re-do all the rigging (right now its a little oklahomie), re uphoster the seats, carpet, etc.....
The motor is mildly built 454 with a cam.  He gave me an extra 454 block, 2 cranks (need turning), 2 pair of cylinder heads (oval port), a polished tunnel ram (oval port) with 2 660's, and a bunch of other misc items.
Now after talking about it I cant wait to take it out!
I did climb underneith and check out the bottom, but not with a straight edge. The shoe appears to be a little above the keel but I will check forsure a little closer on that with a straight edge.
It needs alot of work, both the boat and trailer but this is what I wanted. My last boat I bought was all fixed up and ready to go and I couldn't stand it. To many bugs to work out and did know anything about it. This time I will know this one alot better.  ;D
1st outing there will be more pics and video!

This is what I meant.

This one:  http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/boa/1297205666.html

I called this guy one day and he said he was very firm on the price (then $13,500) I bet you show him 8 or 9 grand and he jumps on it.

I think I got a good deal on it.

Special thanks to 'Boost' for keeping a close eye out on any gullwings for me
and to 'Riverdad' which I learned ALOT more about gullwings just from our 10 min. conversation!
Thanks again! ;D

OK its hooked be hide your truck lets see it.

Thank you to everyone who was keeping an eye out for me.  Of course right after I buy it I find a killer deal on a CP. :banghead: hehehe
Whatever. Alright here it goes: 1987 TX 19 Condor, heavy layup lake boat, mildly built 454 w/ oval port heads, Berk. pump w/shoe & ride plate. Its going to be a project boat for me but I am going to fix a couple of things right away so that I can use it this season.
