Well it's Home now !!!!  And after a 3 month battle with D.M.V. I finally got my title !!  I showed them who's the BOSS  ::) !  I started cleaning it up to see what is realy under all those years of grime and dirt  >:( .

After some wet sanding and polishing the colors are starting to show again  ;D  I just did the right side (in the pics) to show the difference .

here is one showing how small the stringers are in this hull (compaired to the pack of cigs) , and the pretty balsa floors .

a shot under the deck, still pretty scarry under there. But look how thin the supports are , the ones that go across the boat are 1/4in plywood  :o

Thats all for now.  It will take lots of time and money but someday it will be a realy nice boat again !!!!

 Tom
This one was a stern drive to start, then changed to a "wacker" ?  I hope that explains all the differences I'm seeing between that hull and mine.  ???

Guys, you don't even know. These pictures don't do this boat justice. It's clean, sanitary, meticulously prepared and badass.

I agree !! This is one realy nicely built boat, when you see it in person it looks wayyy better than the pics !!!   But than all the work I've seen them doing there (JBP) has been verry well done and thought out .

Sorry Tom / Josh but I'm not going to come to your shop anymore until my little boat is done.  Because every time I do I come home and take something ealce apart on mine after seeing a better way to do it, when I should be spending money on parts for the Daytona  :(

I'm definitely in and willing to make the drive to SoCal for this if we can come up with a date.

Cool, we can hook my trailer to the back of your trailer and you can tow both boats, so I can work on mine on the way  ;D.

Ok.  Mark said Elisonore, is there still water there ?  Is it fairly clean or will it burn me if I touch the water ?  Will I need my baffles or is it ok to be loud ?

I vote for Sunday, you guys pick the place and I'll be there.
I've got to warn you though , I might still be turning wrenches on the launch ramp :o !!

I was thinking that maybe we should have our first annual get together. I know some of you guys have the Ming thingy going, but I was thinking the weekend after that we could all get together at the local septic tank and kick back on the beach with our boats and some of that beer stuff.
Yay or nay??

Is this going to happen ???

Unfortunately, Rick Ortega's boat (lilrick - Cj32) flipped in the 1st heat on Sunday. He banged his knee and shin while being pitched out and has a sore shoulder and wrist. He is expected to be ok and should be seeing a doc today just to be sure.

Here Is a pic of the sad event ( look behind Omars head , thats the bottom of Ricks boat and the splash on the right was Rick  :(  ), But before that it sure looked good out there Rick !!  Hope your feeling ok today !

Why?

Yea, why ? Is it a better intake or does it just fit the shape of the hull better?  ???

When I got Mine there was a fuse under the dash that went to the key, it was corroded and would do the same thing !!  Check for fuses under the dash or by the battery.

Oh, I almost forgot, welcome to the site ;D.
